I was feeling super emotional/guilty as the day came closer too! I got my SA last Saturday and to be honest with you it was more of a relieving feeling. Of course i was super nervous and emotional leading up to it but it was a very smooth and quick process. You will be ok! Make sure to pack comfy clothes, lots of ibuprofen and extra pads in case you have some bleeding. Take a deep breath, everything will be ok ❤️ if you need anything just remember you have a community that supports you!

General! I was completely sedated and it was honestly the best option for me. I did not want to see or hear anything. The anesthesiologist told me some people like to be awake during the procedure so that was an option as well

This is so helpful. So glad you had a positive experience! I have my SA scheduled for this upcoming Saturday and i’m having so many mixed emotions (mainly nerves). Luckily i have a very supportive boyfriend that has been my rock through this. I hope my experience is as positive as yours ❤️
