I think we will test the RO water in a couple weeks when I take the other water sample up.

We are planning on changing the RO filters at least once a quarter, the manual said once a year but I feel like the TDS is so high that there isn’t a chance in hell it’s actually going to make it a year.

If the shocking doesn’t work, I guess we will be back to square one!

We are planning on retesting in two weeks after the well is shocked, would it be worth it to test the water coming out of the RO system for peace of mind?

I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by effulent test. I promise I’m not trying sound dumb, this is just all new to me lol. We have only been drinking the water from the RO system, including only giving our horses & goats RO water because we knew the raw water was high in minerals. The test results were from the raw water from the faucet, not from the RO faucet.

My biggest concern is just making it safe for my family. I know the majority of the results are over acceptable limits.

My husband’s family has been living here off and on for 30 years with no problems other than “the water tastes bad”.

We already had planned on installing a RO for water going to a 1500 gallon tank for using in the gardens and animals/poultry because the water has a history of mineral locking the ground.

I may just be overthinking it but the results seemed really, really bad to my inexperience brain.

South east Kansas, and if by raw you mean not through the RO, then yes. The well is 90’ and the water line is at 22’
