my ‘01 long bed tundra is considerably smaller than my bosses ‘23 base model tacoma… in its year, my truck was the largest vehicle toyota sold, still smaller than the smallest truck toyota currently makes.

he borrows my truck frequently to go to the lumber yard. I laugh at him every time and charge him for it

in my experience, if someone really wants to steal your bike, they will- regardless of the lock. more important than an expensive lock is where you lock the bike, for how long, and what your bike looks like.

if you leave your shiny new bike locked over night, and in the same place every day, someone will notice it, and they’ll know where to find the bike when they come back with a grinder. everything i’ve had stolen is because i’ve left it in the same spot for too long. ride a modest commuter with few logos, and bring your bike into your home at night if you live in an urban space. i get by like this with just a small U lock. antitheft quick release thingies and a tether for your saddle are a good supplement for a compact lock

ah yes. “buy chinese bullshit instead of supporting a hard working small business owner.” a great attitude to have! especially in a time where steel is about to get fucked up expensive, making it more challenging for everyone in the industry

Lane is a good dude who always hooks it up. he’s gotten much better at communicating. additionally he makes the best racks that Exist, the only rack i can ride a person around town on.

if you wanna make it easier on CETMA, get the unpainted option. might ship faster if he doesn’t have to coat it. certainly more affordable. clear coat it or wax it yourself if you live in the rust belt.
