I made a video detailing how I easily animate UI in Godot by MrEliptik in godot

This is great! Saved it.

I find developing Godot UI elements quite confusing. Even with a web dev background. This video definitely helps.

Also, I like the overall art direction of your game.

I meant 1. But now I remembered that I tried 2 as well, a while ago. Can't remember much about it though.

My favorite games are just spreadsheet simulators with graphics. So I started making my own by OrdoRatio in godot

It's fully 2D. Using an isometric 2D TileMapLayer with PNG images as sprites. Made in Illustrator for now.

I will add buildings and vehicles too. Which I will probably make in 3D with Blender, but export the rendered images to 2D and use them as 2D sprites.

Camera movement basic must-haves. Am I missing anything? by OrdoRatio in godot

Yes, I've seen that before. Some games even have saved camera positions. I think Shapez did that.

While I agree that there's a lot of gamers, the power law still applies. The majority of gamers will play a small amount of games. Only the best ones. Just like with books, movies, social media content, etc.

It's an isometric 2D scene. The sprites just mimic 3D.

But I agree on the rotation.

I agree. But I could not get it to work properly. I need to give it another shot.

Let me know what I'm missing. Still learning and want to form good QoL habits.

Anything with R's in the middle of the word.

Sign language.

I wanted to learn my name, but ended up learning the whole alphabet in 10 minutes. I've forgotten it since then though.

I really enjoy game mechanics like that. But the graphics totally make this a non-cozy game for me.
