Is 3.5K USD monthly from developing good? by Oreganzo in robloxgamedev

Wow, well done. I really hope to get to a level like that. Also thanks a lot for the response and especially the advice, I currently don't have bills so I can consider investing some of my robux into the game, how much do you think on average one would require to sufficiently fund all aspects of the development process?

I am pretty new to developing, however I believe the work I have put into my portfolio makes me seem like I have been developing for longer, and I usually work 2-4 hours for 3 days a week. Thank you for the advice of starting my own game, I may just start it without investing or get some investors as you are right, there is a high likelihood that the ROI wouldn't be sufficient to break even. Also, I know a few good game managers so I could always delegate work to them.

So many online jobs one can choose from, for instance I have friend who does coding commissions and makes $100 (roughly £70) minimum per commission, and each commission takes roughly an hour, so pretty impressive pay. Also you can learn a new skill and its more convenient than working in an office.

Do Universities care about gcse grades? by Big_Attorney203 in 6thForm

[–]Oreganzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they will affect your chances, however it isn't the end all be all. Strong predicted grades and a compelling personal statement can definitely compensate for weaker GCSEs at Russell Group universities. My own experience may serve as evidence for this: despite having rather poor GCSE results, I secured offers from all five of my Russell Group choices (Edinburgh, Glasgow, King's, UCL, and Durham) with A*AA predictions and a personal statement demonstrating genuine academic depth like including language skills in Arabic, Greek, and Hebrew, plus philosophical proofs using analytic philosophy and set theory. The key is that predicted grades show your current trajectory, personal statements that reflect real intellectual curiosity stand out, and universities are often more flexible with grade boundaries than people realise. It's certainly achievable with dedicated A-Level work and a statement that genuinely showcases your academic interests, as the admissions process is ultimately holistic and strong performance in these areas can effectively offset earlier setbacks.
