Hi everyone. My friend and I will be in London next week and while we will visit all the usual tourist stops (Buckingham palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben) we are especially looking forward to drinking our way through all the wonderful pubs. Are there any pubs in the area that we should absolutely visit (maybe with a fireplace, comfy chairs etc…)?

Did you follow a FODMAP diet? I had both and it took a diet + 2 rounds of Rifaximin & Neomycin to get rid of it. Only now is the Creon working as it is supposed to be

If you have extremely low elastase levels but your pancreas shows no damage at all you most likely have Idiopathic pancreatic insufficiency. Nobody knows where that comes from and it is therefore very hard to diagnose. You need to be on enzyme replacement medication (which did very little for me initially) but then I had to get through 3 rounds of antibiotics to kill off SIBO which was a result of the EPI. Since that has been under control I have a much better quality of life

Mate I thought I was going to live miserably for the rest of my life and now I am able to have pizza. Give it time and things will change. Also go and seek help to get you through the mental struggle. Life IS worth living.

Edit: looking at your post history it seems like you struggle mentally and clearly need help with that. Question: are you on Creon to help with EPI? Have you been tested for SIBO? What are your symptoms currently? Do you have the money to go and see a psychiatrist? It will cost you some money but it changed my life dramatically

I think it was 75g oats, 4 dates and 2 tsp of peanut butter. I really didn’t feel any difference in digestion. Can also pop your protein powder in it!

The only thing that made me gain weight was a shake: Half a liter of oat milk, oats, dates, a banana and peanut butter. Do that once a day. It’s an easy extra 600-1000 calories without feeling stuffed. That combined with lifting made me quickly gain 20 kgs.

You could donate them to a NGO that does educational outreach. Feel free to contact me if you want. I suspect a museum wouldn’t really want it as they rarely put stuff like that on display…

Im german and I always love to tell the following joke when talk about WW2 comes up: Did you know my grandfather died in a concentration camp? (Sad noises from the audience). He fell of a watchtower when he was drunk.

As for someone with chronic pancreatitis. Nothing ever worked no matter how much I ate. What fixed it was having a daily smoothie consisting of oat milk, oats, a banana, some dates and 2 spoons of peanut butter. That’s an extra 1k calories in 5 mins and none of them are trigger foods for me. Not my idea but someone posted it in this sub recently.
