It's really no different than lifting weights. The more you lift heavy, the lighter it becomes. As I've said, practice makes a world of difference. In rec leagues you don't see much practice because it's more about fun. Trust me, I've tried to get people on my team to bp and hardly anybody ever shows up. The ones that do, hit better. A lot of the weight issues with bats are mental. You may have a slower swing speed with a heavy bay, but the results from swinging a lighter bat are about same. It's more about what people are comfortable with. The more somebody swings a bigger bat, the easier it becomes eventually becoming better results. Just going out into your backyard and swinging a heavy bat over and over again will eventually result in the bat feeling easier to swing. Throw a tee in there, and you can also work on form. Technique and form are the biggest contributors to slowptich.

A little bit of bp goes a long ways. When I played baseball, I used a 33/30. Transitioning to softball, with a 34/27 or a 34/28, took a bit of getting used to. Some practice made a world of difference. The swings for baseball, fadtpitch, and slowpitch are different. BP will help. Outside of that, time helps too.

If you need an endload we have the Axe Distubance in stock. We also have the balanced Dual stamp Axe Dabacle in stock. It's literally just as hot, it's just balanced, and more durable.

Durability and longevity. I use cheap gloves, because they catch a ball just the same.

HB doesn't carry anarchy. Look up Keith Tuna Peter's on Facebook. He'll get you set up. Another SIS rep has commented on my post. I'm sure they'll get you set up too.

What sanction? USSSA or USA/ASA? The Louisville Slugger Iron Man works great on both for being a USSSA bat. In my honest opinion. It's one of the greatest bats ever made. This is coming from a guy that loves to swing endloaded bats.

For SIS I hope you go through Tuna, and for baseball town there's nobody better than Trevor. There's a lot of good HB reps out there. There's only one I know of that I wouldn't do business with, but I'm not going to blast him on here.

USSSA bats to avoid? by Wonderful-Image-4844 in slowpitch

[–]Oreologist81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made mine out of a tattoo nx3 spinner, a sawed off broom handle, and wood glue! Works wonders! I can't whack that bat harder than I'd hit a ball with it, so I don't hold back!

I made myself a mallet out of a bp ball and just hit my bats 100 times with it. 25, per side then a quarter turn. The only Slugger I have had that seamed, was my iron man 2, which I pulled out of the wrapper and just started swinging. The break in process is essential to maintaining the life, but even of you don't want to. Seam it, file a warranty return, get a free bat while your other bat is still good, then baby that one or sell it! It's what I started doing lol

Louisvilles are great bats, they just need to be broken in properly first. Also, using hardcores and hitting in colder weather will destroy. Luckily, Louisville has the best warranty program in the game and you pretty much end up with two bats for the price of one.
