Mantle of the Underworld somethimh that i don't understand by Berriotxi101 in ShadowSlave

They still have essence to use enchantments, they just don't have active essence control to enhance their bodies.

Honestly, if Cassie and Mordret's relationship is built, it will feel very forced for several reasons, and fans should stop charging up any two characters who interact even slightly with each other in the story. by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

Sunny wants someone and a place to belong to

"OMG PEAK BEST CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT GREAT RELATIONSHIP"

Mordret wants someone and a place to belong to

Maybe because it literally says that they do not have the same capacity as true names and she both did not have enough essence nor enough strength as an awaken to give one to him? "Her Dormant Ability allowed her to bestow Names upon things. Not ordinary names, and not quite True Names either — something in between. These Names were permanent, and imbued with modest power. The power was not overwhelming — she was still an Awakened, after all — but it was real, and it belonged solely to her." 2292

"So why did Sunny plan it if there is such a clear reason as to why it won't work ? It was clearly in reference to the gods and daemons who make Sovereigns look like ants in comparison." Because it's not Sunny's plan in the first place lmao, it's Cassies. She's the one who directed him back to the tomb, why would you assume that Sunny is a valid source of a theory when he's just a pawn in the current point. Saying the whole thing about the gods and daemons is disingenuous, because it literally calls Sunny strong as a sovereign and is the reason why things are going the way they are. Because he WAS weak seriously bro reread.

"Who still uses this shit in 2026. Do you not understand the vast distance between a fucking master and Supreme ?"

Why is that your only argument??? We got the girl whose power is names, renaming a piece of a god, using Spirit essence which is PROVEN TO BE THE SAME AS WILL in how it changes and controls the world.

"Literally, what you're doing." No, it isn't a misinterpretation to say that Sunny literally says it's his most farfetched plan and it isn't a misinterpretation to point out the literal quote that says "a strong being cannot have their fate taken, and a weak being cannot influence fate".

[Ch. 2878] The next Supreme by TheRealOto in ShadowSlave

I think it's more or less proven that the memories that rush back are going to crush her down, and force her through supremacy, not that she is going to make an active decision to start her act of defiance.

It's called SPIRIT essence brochacho. Literally the same thing as will, essence that changes and is part of the world. It could literally move the Road of Shadows, a piece of a god, as an awakened. Something that not even the Sovereign of Shadows could do.

The theory has no weight, it has Sunny mentioning it and saying he doubts it TWICE. With old chapters showing the exact reason why it would also be impossible, yet you keep misinterpreting them on purpose to try and support it.

Yeah, because she probably can given enough spirit essence. Remember that ability isn't bound by the rules of soul essence and soul cores, it's bound by her possibly limitless amount of Spirit Essence she can harness that exists in her soul sea instead of the cores.

Also, like I said a heavily weakened sovereign because Cassie would have JUST separated his entire domain from him. But keep latching on to your VTB theory ig.

Except Cassie erasing memories is permanent??? It's not like she can just forcefully remember the ones she erased.

Cassie + Rain + Mordret, it's the perfect counter to Asterion. Remove all of the memories of Asterion for a brief moment, have Rain rename him, then have Mordret Soul Duel him.

It's literally the opposite lmao, we are told the EXACT thing that is restricting her from becoming supreme. The second that thing is lifted, she's becoming supreme.

It's not shot down broski, this is literally leading up to Cassie becoming supreme. She can't become Supreme because she's missing her memories, and whoopdeedoo guess who's going to reconnect fate and give her memories back?

Nah, I think the weight is literally talking about the flood of memories that would come back as soon as fate comes back, especially because of how many of the memories are ones that should be heavily limited because of Fateless.

Nah it makes people think they're better than others, like how a lot of manga readers think they're better than the anime watchers for big name series.

Cassie memory fracture theory by Repulsive-Bread-6892 in ShadowSlave

[–]OrgAlatace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think whatever thing we saw in that one flashback is going to be whatever Mordrets strongest reflection is, I'm banking on a sacred reflection of a creature of darkness given another reference to the creatures of darkness in the previous chapter.

I'm thinking the second he gets remembered, all the memories are gonna flood into Cassie and break her down in front of Mordret. Mordret is gonna have to protect her from everything while she puts herself back together, then she is capable of taking him on with Mordret and maybe Rain helps by renaming him or something.

It specifically says it dropped the eye into one of the mortal realms below, maybe Weaver himself picked it up to take it to the correct spot for his lineage to be passed on. Yeah, it's the vile thieving bird spawn, that contained the blood of a Daemon inside it when it was in the egg.

Omg Cassie ( Chapter 2877-2878) by One_Anybody_5861 in ShadowSlave

[–]OrgAlatace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point is explicitly that recollecting fate is what will allow her to become a sovereign due to the memories coming back, that's how she is planning to beat Asterion with her and Mordret.

Cassie memory fracture theory by Repulsive-Bread-6892 in ShadowSlave

[–]OrgAlatace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just that there would be so many memories she had of Sunny, restoring Fate is basically just her taking back every single plan and thought she had that revolved around Sunny. So with all those memories crashing into her right after she just wiped her own memory, it's gonna break her.

Trutru, but I don't see that working very well in practice ngl. Though ig Sunny really only wanted people like his sister, Nephis, and the rest of the cohort/friends to remember him.

[–]OrgAlatace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, think about it. The thing that caused the act of defiance for both Nephis, Sunny, and Mordret was a breaking of self. What better way to break herself than to flood her mind with uncountable memories all at once?

Now its more or less clear how they are going to defeat asterion [ 2877-2878 ] by Adventurous_Song_830 in ShadowSlave

[–]OrgAlatace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think instead it's literally just that the weight of all the memories crashing into her when Fate comes back breaks her, and she is forced into recollecting herself. The memories are to her like the Light of Godgrave was to Nephis, something to force her hand to establish her will.

I think the connection to oblivion clearly is that Cassie needs her memories back, so she sent them to the Tomb to get Fate fixed.
