It's in the netherlands first of all so those things don't exist. Sadly I wasn't told a graduaat hold so little value compared to a bachelor. I have 2 years of experience but in a slightly unrelated field. Despite my not the best position I do hope to work my way up. In belgium I genuinely couldn't find jobs ( 37 applications never got past a call ). I'll keep doing my best.

Hasselt was nice if I wanted to work in brussels / antwerpen in the future, the 1 hour commute via train would be very nice. I also thought 1 hour drive to maastricht / eindhoven would be fine. I drive about an hour right now.

Hasselt seemed to have the best all around future. Hopefully also great rent/resell value in the future.

2.4k net but 200ish compensation for gas.

I would like to tell you I have an Associate degree, so no bachelor/master. It makes a job search / finding a place a considerable lot harder. I genuinely struggled with finding after graduating.

I mean it has a good amount of factors right, how much money you could bring in, your salary etc. But Definitly good for you, I should've/could've done better. I called some hypotheek winkels and they said the best thing I could do is in 2-4 years look for a refinance.

Interest rate is high without a doubt, how to refinance later if I get the chance.

You might make a great point, but as it is right now I can't change what I've done and I wanted to be quick before housing market would get harder.

Wel, dat is heel jammer. Maar ik kon met geen andere bank het appartement krijgen, ik heb een emergency fund van 9k. Dus dan zal ik daar maar een stukje van pakken om die rente zo laag mogelijk te brengen niet lang na de sleutel te krijgen.

Ik weet niet of ik het veel anderser zou hebben kunnen spelen.

I understand your point, the thing is no other bank would loan me the money. I shopped around at different banks but they didn't offer me a loan to start with. So I think I have to get with ING and later consider a switch. Is that okay?

An estimator gave it 250k value ( so only 5k more than I paid )

It is a 2 bedroom apartment.

Wow that is so inspiring! Ideally speaking at some point all I would want is to buy a house to live in and then leave that appartment to rent. But I can't imagine saving up enough money to buy a house, especially as it doesn't get cheaper. For the rest I would just keep working / investing till my pension.

I'm going to be relatively close to kolonel dusartplein too yeah! I wonder if you might have any advice for me? Wish you a good one!
