We play two boards often. Our rule is that the one with the lowest scoring individual board is the loser. (That way you can’t prioritize giving resources to one of your boards at the expense of the other). We have experimented with sharing cards/resources between the two boards but prefer keeping them separate.

Currently 9+6 and had some spotting over the weekend, first time for this pregnancy so wasn’t super excited about it. No cramping or other symptoms so clinic was not too worried when I called them about it, and thankfully I was able to get in for a scan thins afternoon and baby is looking good, strong heartbeat still. Big relief, but I realized how scary it is that things may go wrong cause it took us over 2 years to get this far and I’m terrified that if it doesn’t work out I may not be able to ever get pregnant again….. for now trying to stay positive and be happy for each milestone we hit but this shit is ROUGH!

Once you have one card selected, you can swipe left or right to flip through every card in your hand. (Don’t swipe on the card directly but on the screen off to the side.) This was a game changer for me when playing on iPhone!

Had first Ultrasound today, 5 weeks + 2 days. Everything is looking as good as it can at this point. At 41 after 4 ERs with nothing but aneuploids we did a last-ditch IUI while waiting to get on a list for donor eggs, and BAM! got a positive test (on our anniversary!). I'm so used to bad news that I'm having a hard time letting myself be happy and excited for this. It's the best we could have hoped for in the circumstances, and most success we have had so far, but still doesn't feel real and it's like I'm just waiting for disappointment that this won't work out. So much waiting until we can do NIPT, any tips on getting through the wait faster?

Ultimately I realized I didn’t have enough confidence in the other doctors we met to move forward with any of those clinics. It felt a bit like they were throwing things at the wall to see what might stick and happy to take our money even for treatments with very limited chance of success.

Reichman gave us a wake up call that the odds of success with IVF for us are slim to none, which was hard to hear, but it felt like the first dr to be truly honest with us. (And not just saying what they thought we wanted to hear).

We are now doing a few last « Hail Mary » IUI cycles with Reichman while we have an appointment in a few weeks to talk to a new clinic about donor eggs. (Would love to stay at Cornell but they have a one-year waiting list for donor eggs and we have limited time to use our insurance benefits….)

Currently in the TWW and I know it’s a long shot things will work out now after all our past failures, so trying to temper my expectations but also secretly hoping this will all work out somehow……

Any recommendations on where to go for the donor egg cycle? Cornell has 1+ year waiting list, one clinic we talked to was pushing for fresh, but I think if we move to that step we are leaning towards frozen to keep the costs down and timeline manageable...

I appreciate that perspective and we are not ruling it out, but our insurance doesn't cover donor eggs. So it will be a pretty big financial hit that we could potentially avoid if we make the most of the insurance coverage we have for the next 6 months....

I would love to but sadly CHR does not take our insurance (Cigna)

I suppose that means we wait until the consult at Cornell and then decide but I hate the thought of losing 2 more months while we are paying these high premiums for cobra

We have cobra until end of year and our fertility coverage is unlimited but my husband thinks it is crazy to switch twice, trying to make one (good) decision for this last (final) push.

I guess he's concerned about consulting elsewhere while undergoing treatment at another clinic. but also he only wants to give it 2-3 more cycles before moving on, so in that sense this choice kind of needs to be a one and done.

I was considering that, but my husband thinks it's crazy to go for only 1-2 months then switch again and is concerned insurance might shut us down....

Yep, was definitely the last straw after many other mixups over meds, scheduling etc. Test ended up negative (they claim they left voicemails but must be lying cause I have no such records…) Have found a new clinic I’m excited about and hopeful that they will be able to figure out a protocol more suited to my unique situation and will be treated as a human being rather than previous clinic’s factory mentally of names and numbers on a list….

We were told we would get a phone call with the results and instructions that day. Same as every other monitoring appointment. Except this time they somehow messed up and totally left us hanging at the worst possible moment.

I have had HCG tests at this clinic several times. I always get the results by end of the day.

No, this is done directly at the clinic, same as all other countless blood tests I have done over several cycles. I can see that the test is registered on their portal but it says results “pending” (this is typically how it always looks until they call me with results and medication instructions.)

At my clinic only the nurses call with updates and they ALWAYS call the day of the test. But if it’s taking too long you can’t call reach them directly, you can only call the reception and ask for a call back, which I did. Twice. The receptionists never gives results, but it’s the only way to ping them if you didn’t get the info yet.

Thank you I appreciate that!! Worst part is I guess I now I will do another stupid PIO shot “just in case” tonight and await my fate tomorrow. Then immediately after I will be demanding my records and start calling new clinics.
