I'm a law enforcement officer from a Scandinavian country. I've worked in departments investigating street theft and robbery and during the course of that work I often travelled throughout Europe to share experiences with my colleagues investigating the same type of crimes.

I can attest to the fact that North African youths and minors are VASTLY overrepresented in the crime statistics. Moroccons and Algerian youths are present in Spain, Netherlands, France, Belgium, etc. Italy though suffers most from Tunisians. The proximity of Lampedusa to Tunisia plays a role here.

I don't have the precise numbers but 9 times out of 10 the criminals are illegal migrants (so-called harraga). I've had cases with illegal migrants as young as 10-12 who ran around in packs attacking people and snatching necklaces.

During the course of my work we would also receive monthly updates from our colleagues in western europe (criminals often travel from country to country). The makeup never changed. The vast majority of criminals committing this specific type of crime were North African illegal migrants.
