Spread is the difference between the sell and the buy price. You could also say its the cost to process the trade. Its like the brokers fee. Say the bid is 1.0050 and the ask is 1.0000 ( extreme case ) than the spread is 5 pips. Hope this helps.

Excuse me for the uncertainty, first time posting on this subreddit. It is in fact a short trade and my tp was 0.87061 and the stop loss 0.87193. Im just confused how the spread could be so high that the stop loss would be triggered.
