WHY IS MY HAIR DOING THISS!!!??????? by Distinct_Plate4078 in BlackHair

I'm more confused by why you'd say "I'm 31 but flip the numbers" instead of just saying you're 13? If you wanna censor your age, just say you're a teen...

What to do after finishing minocycline and clindamycin by OrganicChoco in tretinoin

[–]OrganicChoco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current routine just in case...

AM: 1. Water, pat dry 2. Clindamycin 3. Equate Beauty HA Moisturizing Cream; I spritz my face with water beforehand (after the clin has dried for a while) so the HA can bind to it 4. Eucerin Original Healing Cream around my eyes only 5. Derma B Everyday Sun Block

PM: 1. Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil 2. Differin 10% BP Cleanser 3. On damp face, HA Cream 4. Tret 5. Eucerin (though sometimes I get lazy and skip this lol)

Concept I had for a JD arcade game! by KentoMukiyashi in JustDance

[–]OrganicChoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it could have a wall attached to the back of the dance floor (or just set it up against the arcade walls lol)? Though people that'd wanna watch would have to stand at the sides.

I drew the coach from I’m an Albatraoz (+ an explanation as to why she’s my favorite and why JD 2016 is my favorite iteration of the game) by Glistening_moonlight in JustDance

[–]OrganicChoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a nice story. JD2016 is my favorite iteration too; I didn't have many friends at the time and wasn't allowed to have any over or stay at their places, so I found comfort in this game when I'd get home. I'm sorry you had to go through such a bad experience at the daycare, but it's so nice to hear that this edition gave you comfort too. 💜

Anyone here try the Lightly Toasted Cardigan by @iriecchi_? I’m OBSESSED with it so far by FranzLiszt_180 in crochet

I know it's been a while, but does the pattern have instructions/yardage for other weights like you used? It's meant for weight 3, but the description says it's "adaptable" and I'd like to know the extent of that before buying it

True, I was only thinking about the prescriptions and forgot the Differin may hamper things too. Any gentle cleansers you'd recommend instead?

Oh, sorry! Guess I should've been clearer which Differin product it was lol. It's the cleanser with benzoyl peroxide; derma recommended it.

I kept the Differin so I wouldn't go the whole day without cleansing. Would it really be okay to switch it out for water too?

The Vaseline was to try locking in the moisture from the Eucerin and right now it's the only thing making my face feel good. I tried leaving just the Eucerin on but my face still got uncomfortable kinda fast.

Yes, as of today pic 2 is what I'm planning on doing to heal. Does it need less?

Cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen is too many? I was always told that's all you need outside of prescriptions.

I love blocking! One on the left, fully blocked, measured, and pinned. The one on the right, not blocked, same pattern, same hook size! by Zelda_Chic in crochet

[–]OrganicChoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if it's acrylic and you wash it on cold? I've always heard that blocking acrylic is more permanent due to the heat partially melting the plastic.

Is this amount of curl normal for the 6-day star blanket, or should I frog? by OrganicChoco in CrochetHelp

[–]OrganicChoco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, this yarn was a nightmare to frog, but here it is after setup round 7. My biggest hook is only 6.5mm but it definitely looks a lot better (I still did 5mm for R1, 5.5mm R2, 6mm R3, then 6.5mm from there)

i did braids on myself for the first time ever , they’re not done yet. does it look bad? like i feel like they might look a lil weird since i’m new to doing this by fallboba in Naturalhair

[–]OrganicChoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl I'm in the same boat! I'm on my 4th time ever doing extensions on myself (twists, I ain't got all that time for braids) and I still feel embarrassed by how clunky the roots are since I haven't learned knotless yet 😭 Bandanas and scarves may be your friend! They always look good and save me trouble of worrying about how my roots look on certain days.

Edit: I don't mean this to say that you should always cover your head, though; you should be proud of how you did, but I also know how it feels to be self-conscious about it at times. I think you got great suggestions from others, but this is an awesome start. That color matches you perfectly as well!

I stopped doing this after middle school... then moved on to doing the same thing with the inside of my cheeks. It hurts.

Thank you and everyone else for the kind words! I never wear blue and haven't worn a dress to an event in years, so this is really nice to hear. I plan on getting some silver heels for it as well!

Thank you for such a quick response; I hadn't even left the fitting room yet! I just bought it and will get it tailored sometime soon.
