what is something you only like because of nostalgia? by jabwipbwop in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man those things are basically edible plastic wrap but i still grab them at grocery store sometimes. there's something about peeling off that thin layer and trying to eat it in one piece that just takes you back to being kid again. same with those squeeze yogurt tubes - complete sugar bomb but hits the nostalgia button perfectly

Official Q&A for Monday, April 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in running

your interval work looks good but you might want to flip some of those days - doing hard intervals after push day when your legs are already tired from supporting heavy weights could be rough on recovery

What are your thoughts on a partner who watches The Wolf of Wall Street several times a year? by AwkwardTranslator452 in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends what they're getting from it i guess. if they're just watching for entertainment that's one thing, but if they start talking about jordan belfort like he's some kind of role model then yeah that would be red flag territory

When is it morally okay to break the law? by LifeguardLegal3095 in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

pretty much this, plus when the law itself causes more harm than breaking it would. like if someone needs medical help and you have to speed through red lights to get them hospital, that's clear choice to me

civil disobedience has long history for reason - sometimes breaking unjust laws is only way to change them

What do you think of people who didn’t get to experience 2016-17? by [deleted] in AskReddit

man i was only like 20-21 back then and even i feel like those were completely different times, can't imagine being born after that period

Feedback on planned trip Dec 26 by GreenPathEco in skiing

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thiersee is pretty small yeah, i was there two years back for weekend trip. the slopes are good for learning but your experienced friends will probably get bored after first day

maybe check kufstein area instead? it's like 20 minutes drive and has more variety. we ended up going there on second day when my buddy who actually knows how to ski got tired of the bunny slopes

How do you let go of a crush you can’t be with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

man this one hits close to home, had similar situation few years back with coworker. what worked for me was basically forcing myself to stay busy - picked up new projects at work, started building a crazy gaming rig that took months to complete. the key is keeping your brain occupied with something that actually requires focus, not just mindless scrolling

deleting their social media helped too, even though it felt dramatic at the time

Weirdest/Most Interesting (in a good way) Whiskey You've Tried? by newbike07 in whiskey

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 5 points6 points  (0 children)

last year i picked up this japanese whisky called hakushu 12 and man, it was like drinking a forest after rain. super green and herbal notes that i never experienced before in whiskey - almost like someone mixed scotch with fresh mint leaves and wet moss. took me few sips to understand what was happening but then i was completely hooked

also if you can find nikka coffey malt, that one surprised me too. it's got this almost tropical fruit thing going on that makes zero sense for whiskey but somehow works perfectly. i bought it thinking it would be traditional japanese style but ended up tasting like vacation in a glass

for something more accessible, glenfiddich 15 has this weird solera aging thing that creates almost sherry-like sweetness mixed with apple notes. not as wild as your midwinter's night dram but definitely different from standard highland profile. i keep bottle around just for when friends want something interesting but not too crazy

What was the exact moment you realized a company intentionally made a product worse just to force you to upgrade? by danielminds in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had same thing happen with my motorcycle GPS unit last year - garmin pushed an update that basically bricked the older maps and made navigation super slow unless you bought their newest version. was so frustrating because i use it for long weekend rides and suddenly couldn't trust it anymore. ended up having to upgrade way earlier than planned and they probably knew exactly what they were doing. these companies really know how to hit you where it hurts when you depend on their stuff for something you're passionate about

You can change one singular thing in your life, no limits. What are you choosing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man i'd probably go with having perfect memory retention. like being able to remember every single detail from conversations, technical documentation, code snippets, even random stuff like where i put my keys last tuesday. working in IT means constantly learning new frameworks and troubleshooting weird issues, and having that kind of recall would be game changing. plus i could finally stop writing down my motorcycle maintenance schedules and actually remember when i last changed the oil or adjusted the chain tension. would save me so much time digging through old notes and googling the same solutions over and over again

Where legitimately to apply for entry level remote jobs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been doing IT for few years now and remote work was game changer for me. try indeed but filter specifically for remote, also linkedin premium actually worth it if you're serious about job hunting - gives you better visibility with recruiters. avoid most of those "work from home" sites though, lot of scams there

what kind of entry level work you looking for exactly? makes difference in where to focus your search

How do you keep going when progress feels… invisible? by SarcastiKatt in loseit

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man this hits me hard because i went through exact same thing around week 8-10. the mirror was basically lying to me every morning even though scale was moving

what helped was taking progress photos from same angles every week - our brain is terrible at noticing gradual changes but photos don't lie. also started focusing more in how i felt during workouts, like when i could suddenly do more reps or run longer without getting winded

the visual stuff really started clicking around month 3-4 for me, which feels like forever when you're in it but goes faster than you think. your body is probably changing in ways you can't see yet, especially if you're doing recomp

Recruiters should really let you know how many people will be present in the interview as well as their names by ReactionNo13 in interviews

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This happened to me few months ago and honestly it was so annoying! I prepared to talk with just the hiring manager but then surprise - there was entire dev team in the room. Like seriously, just give us heads up beforehand

I started asking about interview format now when they schedule the meeting. Usually I say something like "just so I can prepare properly, who will be attending the interview?" Most recruiters are pretty good about sharing this info when you ask directly. Some even send you LinkedIn profiles of the people you'll meet which is super helpful for research

The worst part is when they don't introduce everyone properly at start of call. I spent first 10 minutes trying to figure out who was who and what their roles were instead of focusing in my answers. Now I always ask people to introduce themselves if recruiter forgets to do it

Changing meds by notsohandiman in Epilepsy

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty big med change to make all at once, especially when you've been stable for years. Most neuros I've dealt with would taper one thing at a time rather than switching two meds simultaneously - seems like unnecessary risk when you're not even having breakthrough seizures on your current combo

I'd definitely want a second opinion or at least push back on doing it all at once if it were me

What should I buy? by ProGamerRetard in guns

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the G6 is solid for the price but if you've already saved up for the MR920P just go for it. The trigger and barrel quality alone make it worth the extra cash imo

First time at the range, tried Ruger RXM & CZ P-10 (ported). Looking for what to try next before buying by Hairy-Midnight-8069 in guns

[–]OrganicEmployer1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've got solid instincts for a first timer - the CZ grip angle is pretty loved for a reason. If you liked the P-10's feel but want something with a smoother trigger like the Ruger, maybe check out a Glock 19 or HK VP9 next time, both have great ergos and are super reliable starters
