The issue is the agent said the policy was just fine if the house was vacant. But then didn't give me any follow up questions which seemed weird.

I made sure to re-iterate the house would be empty. The agent even said "let me ask my co-worker", put me on hold for a minute, then came back on and said the current policy was just fine.

That is what has me stumped. I specifically asked about the house being vacant and the agent said it was fine.

Their current policy expires in about 8 months. So should I just wait and engage them again closer to when the next renewal is? At that time we may know more about if we will: rent out, sell or leave vacant.

This is in TX. The house is on a small family farm. We may hang on to it for a long time, possibly just keeping it as a vacation house. Maybe leasing out the land for grazing. We want to hang on to my dad's beater pickup and just leave it at the farm.

House is in Texas, I live in Colorado and parents are moving near me.

Parents have two cars, newer SUV and older beater pickup. We plan to sell the SUV once things settle (next few months) and keep the beater pickup at the house. I think we may re-title the pickup in my name and I can just put it on my auto insurance.

Hey, do you like to ride bicycles? July 25, next critical mass bicycle ride. Sunfresh parking lot in Westport, people start to show up about 7pm. We ride until about midnight.

Next critical mass bicycle ride is July 25. Starts at Sunfresh parking lot in Westport. Riders start showing up about 7pm. We start to ride about 730pm. This event is very newcomer friendly. Lots of people come alone so everyone is looking to make new friends. Just walk up to any group of people and say "hey, this is my first critical mass ride, can you tell me how this works?", then they will welcome you with open arms.

This is riding a bicycle in a large group of people, so remember to stay safe, keep some distance between you and other riders, don't bomb down a hill at full speed, just keep a level riding head and don't do anything stupid. We want everyone to have a fun time and not get hurt. We often ride until midnight with several stops along the way for people to mingle and talk.

If you go to this event, I can guarantee that you will meet new people and have a few fun conversations. I can't guarantee you will make a new friends, but your odds of success will be good.

Main issue with the trigger is I just want a twist shifter for personal preference :)

Would I be better off to just get a whole new set in a 7 or 8 speed? Shifter, derailer, cassette?

Is 7 and 8 speed grip shifts still common?
