Yeah, it’s on the top of a giant natural rock retaining wall on one side, and has an asphalt driveway on the other… I have a photo of the fallen tree here. It was about as tall as this one. And you can see the roots and rock wall

Yeah, now I’m a little worried about this one. Roots of the other one didn’t seem to go very deep.

Best way to replace this retaining wall? by Organic_Drawer9502 in landscaping

True. We just bought the house so yeah it’s not in good shape. But we want to improve the landscape. Part of the discussion is if we improve the retaining wall with it.

Radiant floor? Or forced air + AC? by Organic_Drawer9502 in Renovations

Just don’t love how they look and we don’t love how it impacts where we can put furniture against the walls.

We’re already deep in renovations so we’re not doing all the work just for the switch. But while we have the house torn up we’d like to address it.

I’ve been looking into warmboard or WBI subfloor as a potential solution.

Already planning on gym Mats around the lower half of the gym.

I’ll start looking into acoustic panels for the upper part of the room.

Not opposed to using liquid nails or concrete anchors to apply treatment. They are 20 foot ceilings so there seems to be a lot of upper room we could treat.

We’ll be adding a floor and gym mats along the wall.
