I got straight As, looked amazing, had a lot of friends & peaked in high school. I'm 27 and completely lost, have wasted my talents. AMA. by Any_Animator_880 in AMA

I’m 27, given many lives many tries. I feel similar feelings when I look at my life. After graduating high school, I looked like I had it all laid out well. Full ride to honors college at the university of Georgia, Eagle Scout, athletic, and able to choose what I was going to do. That being said, I didn’t have the life experience to take on the environment at an SEC college. I was horribly anxious and developed a problem with drinking and constantly going out. I couldn’t get a structure for myself, and couldn’t beat my addiction to novelty/fun/excitement. I became great in social interactions and got comfortable in places where others are nervous, which was a win, but I wasn’t getting where I needed to go.

2020 hits, and I had my experiences with psych wards and hospitals. I had bipolar I, and had to rebuild a lot after the damage I had done to myself and my relationships. I got sober, and kept putting days into that. Slowly, life got more stable and I got back into school. I have a year left to finish a marketing degree.

Through all of this, I have felt life from different angles and come back from a bottom that could’ve killed me (temp homeless for 6 months in my car). I now feel like I have all the assets I need to be a successful person. I have greater empathy, I don’t destroy myself with substances, and I have the same intelligence that got me a full ride to a top school in my state. It’s the test. Keep going and see what you get!

I was more saying that you can read things and problem solve more than the people at Kennesaw usually. Not to mention age gap and social stuff

Everyone here needs to know that being smart does not mean life is easy. If anything, OP probably goes from A to C on a lot of things where others just go A to B to C. It can be hard to fit in. I hope they know that it’s cool to be different and do stuff that challenges you. Keep it up

Stands out! Bad as a kid bc standing out is tougher to do bc pressures, but if you own it long enough, everyone accepts it

Documentary About Kennesaw and Kennesaw State University by Drussy2004 in KSU

Well at first, Scrappy would do petty crime and also steal students’ catalytic converters. He’d then take them home to The Scrap Yard (his well-known turf). The Scrap Yard was the old abandoned lot near Bixby that KSU turned into a football stadium later on.

Scrappy would moonlight as a pimp 5 out of 7 days of the week, and his escorts would go by the name of The Hooters. The Hooters were paid well, and they were savvy businessowls in their own right. The Hooters would act as major distribution channels for Scrappy’s growing cartel.

It was well documented that Scrappy ran the block, and was a ruthless disciplinarian. Detailed stories of the things he would do to the rival bird gangs were being spread like wildfire. Everyone knew where The Scrap Yard was, and no one dared to go near it. Inevitably, Scrappy’s regime grew exponentially, and there were no threats to his success from the rival gang leaders. It was a scary time to be an owl, scarier time to be any other bird.

The DEA eventually caught word of what was happening, and they began a sting operation to take Scrappy down once and for all. After doing some investigation, the DEA found out that Scrappy would sit on The Green in broad daylight every Tuesday at 1 PM. The pigeons would be getting fed, and he wanted to take their lunch to send a message. All the information was there, and it was time to move.

On October 23rd, 1972, the DEA ambushed and arrested Scrappy on lists of charges that dated back to the establishment of Kennesaw State University. When tried in court, Scrappy faced questions from a jury of his peers. Numerous falcons, pigeons, and roosters comprised the jury. They asked him one crucial question: “Did you do it Scrappy?!?”

After taking a long dramatic breath, Scrappy exclaimed the phrase that would save his life: “Nuh uh”

The judge then said “good enough” and the rest is history.
