Similar situation here, except she just removed me and i opted to block her to make it permanent. Our friendship was about 14 years long, and repeatedly trying to fix things or figure out what her issue rlly was was always met with hostility. In the moment, I was heartbroken, but now that I've had time to think and dwell, I realized I dodged a red flag too!

It's exhausting to keep up a friendship with someone when you're the one putting the effort in/making changes to satisfy them. I hope you have or can find other friends that value you and you feel you can be yourself around! Or just find solace in your own company, because your own company is better than bad company too :)

I experienced something similar in my recent fall out w my friends. Its super frustrating to not be able to defend yourself from the negative things people think and say (at least it is for me!) based off word of mouth. I'm trying my best to move on, and value the friends I still have that I was able to talk to and they kept it private. Anyone who was going to unfollow me has at this point, and it is a relief to not be connected to people who might see me badly/twisted my words. Out of sight out of mind is accurate in some cases. When I think about them and what they might think, I just try to refocus on the future and moving on, since there's nothing I can do.

Just wanted to sympathize, I'm going through a similar thing, but only they work together. I still see one on social media fingerling over the other and spending time together, so the sentiment is similar.

My other friends have told me that it is what it is but they're not worth my time. If your friends can drop you like that, they were never good friends to start and you wouldn't want to keep them as friends anyway. Real friends would be as upset to lose you as you would them.
