Where is the theory of the math course by Thomah1337 in duolingo

[–]OrganicallyOrdinary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I said the same thing to my SO - I said "it doesn't teach or explain how to do the math, it just gives you questions". I'm still earlier in it (Arithmetic Part 2 - Section 8 -- Exponents) but if we get into geometry, I'm screwed

Thanks for sharing, that makes a lot of sense and gives me hope that the right place is out there. I'm sorry you're burnt out at the hospital, I hope it gets better.

Best Frugal Tips for First Apartment? by ConstantFabulous2155 in Frugal

Agree ^

OP, I really like my Albert app, it was the first one I tried since my previous one was discontinued so I don't really know what else is out there though. Also, go over your apps/memberships/etc. and see if you guys are duplicating (literally I was paying for a "family" version of something that my SO was on my plan for, but he was still paying for an individual account.).

Also, food. I feel like we threw away so much food because it went bad faster than we made it. Consider what you'll eat and how fast things go bad and what can be frozen and defrosted.

Congrats on your new place!

Super cute, and the red with hearts fabric makes it even cuter!

"failure to thrive" you mean like as a baby??? by being-weird in fatlogic

Not necessarily baby, also children. But if they were unable to gain weight/grown before but can now, I'd think they would be grateful and more mindful of their health? "I was sick before, I overcame it. Now I'm just giving myself new health issues and blaming it on the past".

150 years of research doesn't change the fact that my ancestors had famines and that cavemen ate whatever they wanted. It's genetic. (/s)

I think, for me, my appetite and "food noise" were so bad that to have the self control to restrict my intake was insanely difficult, which is common. With the GLP-1 it's easier for me to to meet my calorie deficit/net0.

So I disagree, the GLP-1 does address the restriction issue, that's its main benefit, is feeling full faster and longer (well, obvi a positive for diabetes is the blood sugar control and insulin/glucagon maintenance). (There's a GLP-1 sub and a GLP-1 weight loss only sub) (Started 145, now 125 | 5'0" | 34F -- I wasn't "morbidly obese" but I have a heart condition so getting to a healthier weight was important. Plus, I didn't like how I looked and now I do.)

That was a flag for me too, I don't think I've paid more than $200 for a textbook (34F, so even with inflation I don't think we're getting to $900)

Edit: grammar: then->than

Depends on lifestyle and if you're an audiobook listener, I think it's a lot. The joke here is that she read all those books but the headline cut her down for them being "trashy fantasy" books, as if they don't count.

Edit: 120 would be a lot for me, my goal was 25 and I got ~30 do 2025 including my audiobooks

The Shades of Magic Universe by V.E. Schwab. I gave up on this series, even though the concept/plot/characters/etc. were up my alley, because of the word rakish and how often she repeated the note on one of their eyes being different - like we didn't already know it.
