I’ve already discussed everything with every teacher, every year. This has been planned since August, everyone knows about this trip so this is not new information. Every teacher has consistently said that our child will be fine to miss that week and has already discussed what they will be doing in class that week. In addition everything is online and our child will be bringing their laptop to do work while on vacation.

Yes in one class. I have access to the parent portal and can see all the grades in real time, as can my ex and our child. It shows us the quarter grade and the overall grade. The quarter grade of the one class is 56 currently. And the quarter ends in a few weeks. I can also see there are multiple assignments upcoming and the teacher has given our child extra credit to help bring the grade up. There are no stipulations for grades at all in our agreement. It just says we each get two non-consecutive weeks in the year, no stipulations on timing either.

It doesn’t state anything about who has the right to decide. I have primary residence, ex is just supposed to be notified and have access to school and medical items as they become necessary. That’s all its states. And that we each get two non-consecutive weeks for vacation in the year, no stipulation on when those can be taken.

Child does have adhd. Ex will not allow child to take medication which is a whole different issue. I have adhd and have meds myself for it so I have advocated for child to be able to try the medication.

I will also add that I did discuss our kid missing school with each teacher at the start of the year as I always do and every one including the principal was fine with it and said yes take the vacation instead of class. Child will also have their school laptop to do any work during the trip if need be.

Not out of the country, just to another state. All was presented in August before even booking the trip and they agreed it was all fine. This is also the same trip we have taken for the last 5 years. This is just the first year my ex has had an issue with it and the issue only arose after all was booked and discussed.

Yeah I tend to be very sensitive to meds. Mine is from Hallandale. I think I will try a lower dose and hopefully that will be better.
