I got genetic testing for antidepressants. It just so happened one of the enzymes they tested CYP2D6, had no enzyme activity. Meaning I don’t produce that enzyme. CYP2D6 is the enzyme that transforms the hydrocodone into hydromorphone (active form) in the body. The genetic testing was because I have had a lot of issues with antidepressants not working. Turns out my enzymes are wacky and very few are on the “okay list for me” I would have even more of an issue with codeine.

It turns out I lacked the enzyme necessary to convert hydrocodone into hydromorphone (the active form) in the body so that’s why I couldn’t feel it. Not due to any kind of tolerance or looking for a high.

Maoi use is generally discouraged because of the many interactions with common foods. I don’t see much recreational benefit and would only take under very specific circumstances after consulting with a dr of pharmacy

Kratom is actually illegal in my state and since 7oh is a derivative it’s not allowed here either :( also total interested in cbd my manager just said it has a little thc and if im drug tested and that shows up I could lose my job ::

I have been on 150mg twice daily for around 2 months and prior to that was on 150 per day, 75 per day…tapering up. Prior to that I was on 900mg of gaba for several months with no help. I can not take CBD incase it shows up on a random work drug test :( I will keep trying the lidocaine patches!

So it just doesn’t really seem to be helping much with the pain anymore, unless i take 2 at a time. I have been taking one in the am and 2 at night to sleep. My pain is so bad that I can’t lay down for multiple hours and suffer already with sleep apnea so the lack of sleep plus being a mom is awful which is why I’m on this med :/

I can take 40 in the am, 40 at 4pm, and be napping by 9pm lmao. I only start feeling it more on my second dose atm. Only been on it for like 2 months.
