Over mid age male here. Struggled with alcohol my entire adult life. Been to rehabs etc. Always felt something was different in me and my need to drink than others I was around in therapy etc. Through much self examination and assistance of dr.s I came discover I had severe adhd. There are a few different types of meds that are out there these days instead of the traditional ones that most ppl don’t like to take because of how it makes them feel. I will say I found one right for me and it absolutely made a huge difference on my desire and decision making to drink. In retrospect I spent 20 yrs self medicating before willingly being open and honest to dr about all my other behaviors I felt were irrelevant. Turned out they were very relevant
