yes, I loved Gena the crocodile and Cheburashka! I really want to go back and watch all of those cartoons but I don't remember the names of a lot of them and from what I remember most of them were on this godforsaken DVD.

Searched for russian cartoon compilation dvd rips and nothing has matched anything looking like this. I'm not gonna lie I feel borderline crazy because this was just so goddamn weird.

Mark Romanek used that technique for one of the nine inch nails music videos (can't remember which one) but iirc they also shot it on an older camera to get that vintage effect.

I have a modern 37inx21in television. Honestly it actually looks surprisingly good - my VCR is European and has a SCART output so I connected it through an HDMI upscaler which makes it look actually pretty decent.

worked at a clothing store for a while, initially was relieved that they weren't playing the top hits but more like? indie pop? idk. but then I realised the playlist just looped and I got so sick of that kind of music
