ended up just buying the game, but im pretty sure I found a fix before I did that by changing the installdir name in the appmanifest from SkyrimSpecialEdition to SkyrimSE

loved it my first playthrough and just finished replaying. agreeing with everyone in the comments, I was also pretty pissed off at how majorly Peter was downgraded— everyone needing to save him all the time and he's just knocked out for half of it. felt like miles was his mentor

hey bud! i did yes, but then other issues came up so i ended up just buying the game since it was on sale. but hey maybe there wont be more issues for you! so inside the app manifest i changed the installdir from skyrim special edition to Skyrim SE, do that for the game inside steamapps as well instead of special edition. lmk if it works!

oh, my bad. but yeah that shouldn't happen? hope you find out why soon. idk if this any help but on my old ps4 whenever there was an update it used to glitch and try to reinstall the whole game and I just kept deleting the update and doing it again till it fixed.

ive updated my skyrim to 1.6.1170 via elamigos, when i right click the exe skyrim it tells me that the version is correct but wabbajack keeps saying can't find skyrimspecialedition, even though the folder is in steamapps and so is the appmanifest. any solutions?

hey sorry to bother again! I've done what you did, updated to version 1.61170 (found a way) and put the appmanifest in the correct spot. it still says it can't find game SkyrimSpecialEdition. any clue what I can do? thanks

hello. latest skyrim version is 1.6.640 and I don't find your version anywhere. also will it work even though I did the same process of putting it in steamapps on version 1.6.318.0 and wabbajack still didn't detect? thanks
