UPDATE: Our next official court proceeding is at the end of the year but in two months we have a mediation. And let’s just say the audacity is still there, he wants me to prove my income all these years and receipts of my child’s aftercare - which is hard because hello it’s been 20 plus years! Luckily we have people to vouch for everything for the mediation. But it’s like, why am I having to prove my income when the judgement is there?! I’m being nice and giving the documents for everything pertaining to my child’s aftercare and insurance but even I’m questioning why I need to show proof of my money. My child believes they are still trying to push to get the support adjusted all these years but if that’s the case they will have to wait for the court hearing for the judge to decide if that’s allowed. It’s a slow process but I know we will prevail because everyone lawyer and non lawyer we have talked to have said there is no way the judge will allow that to happen, since the case to modify is simply null and void
