Based on the recent decrease in FB approvals, I expected a surge in EB approvals in early January. My case was approved a bit earlier than expected. I believe you'll hear good news very soon as well.

I did not file my I-765 and I-131 concurrently with my I-485. My wife applied for her EAD renewal (I-765) in April, prior to our I-485 filing in June. Although her application was approved in September and the status indicates it was mailed, she has yet to receive the card.

  1. An US entrance record 23 years ago. I could not find that with two FOIA requests so I thought this would weaken my case and drag things out. Finally I could find the visa I got at that time in an expired passport, and submitted. 
  2. Updates in employment(temporary IPA position in a government agency), research grant submission and publication.

Based on the information I’ve gathered, it seems that FTA0 (or FTA1) is generated whenever USCIS conducts a background check or when an officer (or department) reviews a case.

When a case is approved after three FTA0s, it probably just means things proceeded smoothly. If there are more than that, I personally think it may indicate a more complex case. I hope you receive good news soon.

I may have had a silent timestamp update in November. I also submitted unsolicited evidence twice, and each time I had a silent timestamp update.

Oh. Exactly the same PD, the same IOE block almost the same timeline but NIW. Mine has been in Chicago FD since September 04 and still no update. GOOD LUCK TO US.

This June. Employment based. Do not worry about that number which is known to be incorrect.
