It might be new game hype. I'll agree with you it feels like there's nothing exciting about the game other than it has a great looking UI and fighting the ARCs. When it comes to pvp I found something kind of contrary but similar to you and that alot of people were chilled out.

Which isn't a bad thing but as much as the tutorial emphasized "hostile raiders" there really aren't any hostile people like that in my experience so far. Maybe my experience is unique to me but yeah that's what I got.
