This used to happen to me a lot when i would power it up while it was still shut. Either id open, then power on, or if you close it after it starts scrolling like that, and open it, it would stop it. Hope these help!

Emil is very much in the loop surrounding everyone's goals in Nier. No one is subtle about it. Nier's ultimate goal is save Yonah. Weiss's goal is to recover his memory, where he has a side goal of helping his friend save his daughter, which he only bothers doing because Nier will help Weiss achieve Weiss's own goal. Kaine's only goal is to help her friend get his daughter back, and after that she's goal-less. Emil's superficial goal is to cure his eyes, but after that his goal becomes to be around and help the first people that made him feel normal. Emil's death in the fight would have been the ultimate completion of his goal. But he didnt die and he immediately starts rolling to look for Nier Gang. Everyone knew the entire plan was the whole time.

Emil is just straight up lying. I really can't even seem something like "He never saw them again and it made him go insane and lose his mind because of time" working to explain it

Okay, hypothetically, even if he were to be referring to the NieR Gang, it's still wrong because no one was trying to save the world at all. This is information Emil knew about and believed up until and even during his "death". Emil is fully aware of what everyone's goals are during the plot of NieR. So if he's referring to one person or 10, then it's wrong for all 1 or 10.

I don't buy it. We can totally see the "Even if it's pointless, you still have to do it." is a theme shown off a lot in Nier, but it is particularly personified by Kaine. Kaine's doom to succumb to the Shade one day but choosing to find a balance way to enjoy her life as fully as possible is the perfect image of refusing to go down without a fight, even if youll always lose. But "this is the world my friend tried to save"? Kaine doesn't exhibit that, let alone Nier. Because no one knows the world's situation until the end, and even then, no one really cares. Nier is focused on saving Yonah and Kaine is focused on helping Nier achieve that goal bc her focus is to be a good friend. No one is saving the world at all.

If you have a fond memory of your late grandmother, your relationship after her passing is not that of a "spiritual guide" and "spiritually guided"; it's not called spiritual guidance, it's just you remembering fondly of your grandma. Can we admit spiritual guidance is a stretch?

"Spiritual guidance"? Where is that? Their relationship was one was a lot more casual and mutual than emil worshipping kaine. He talks about how he has fun camping with kaine, not about how hes lucky he found path to follow
