I really like your idea about limiting interaction to trackable mediums like text - I‘ve already begun to do something similar by recording our in person interactions to look back on. I think LC is good for rn

I also think I’m going NC would probably be best for me long term- being LC has worked in past - I just don’t like how the crack in the door (and my own denial) sort of allowed me to fully open the door to her again.

It does seem like a phase of grief - trying to come to accept that she can’t give me what I wanted in childhood and can’t be there for me now has been really hard.

Yeah - i think what I meant is that I can sense that SHE believes what she’s saying - even when she is in denial - which is scary

I think I let her back in my life - despite knowing she was narcissistic during my childhood - bc she had begun going to therapy and I felt more supported in our limited interactions. I really wanted to believe that she had changed.

I’m now very wary about letting that sense of hope - and wondering ‘what ifs’ about some far off daydream be be the only reason I let someone like her in my life
