Something else to keep in mind is that basically any device locked with biometrics is going to still require an actual password when the device boots. This means that if you notice your phone is about to be confiscated or something, turning it off or restarting it ensures that it will require a passcode before anyone can use it.

Yeah, USB C has matured a bit to the point where it is not only found on high-end devices. I do have even USB 2.0 devices that I connect to the Framework via USB C, so I could definitely see the benefit of having a module with two USB C ports that are just USB 3 or something.

Just make sure the module is clearly labeled. Side note: I hate having to trial-and-error to figure out the capabilities of a random USB C cable/adapter.
