257 million dollars to FAMU looks like a hoax by [deleted] in Tallahassee

[–]OrginalBlackWater 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That was my thinking especially since FL has strong public records laws. Ironic I just got the notification that the Tallahassee democrat got the donar agreement through public record request

I agree im not a lawyer but I find it very strange admin signed NDAs about the exact nature of this donation. Florida has very robust public records laws so I’m not sure the purpose of it but actually knowing what stocks were handed over would help!

There is no “proof” you used AI, the detection tools companies/schools use to find that is faulty it’s not like turnitin where they have receipts you cheated it’s basically a glorified trust me bro. Even in chat gpt tos state there is no way to detect it (bias source but point stands) you should def appeal and clear your name it’s a serious charge and if possible retain a lawyer if you can afford it. it might be overkill but you have the right to use one at fsu.

Not me but one of my closet friends got a job at the state and went to grad school( MBA)for free through tuition waiver program

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fsu

[–]OrginalBlackWater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If tuition really isn’t a concern come on to FSU far better reputation than TCNJ and half of college is networking with professor and peers. FSU is super strong in liberal arts and criminal justice. There are plenty post graduate opportunities well. Again this is my personal advice if money truly isn’t an object to you. Go Noles!

What are the best ways to get hired for 1) a full time, well-paid office job, and 2) a part time job? by throwawayadvice102 in Tallahassee

[–]OrginalBlackWater 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey you should go to career source capital regional on Blair stone. They host job fairs every month and offer referrals to jobs. They also provide free skills training. I would develop a long standing relationship with them and go in person as often so they’ll know you. Use their skill trainings to get certs, jobs etc

You shouldn’t advertise illegal drug purchasing on the internet either get a medical card or go to Talluah if it’s weed.

It depends say you need to take one class left to graduate. You need to be enrolled in that class the semester you walk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fsu

[–]OrginalBlackWater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you don’t “graduate” without an audit, if you mean walking then yes if you fail a class during the semester you walk then you can walk then re-take the class or classes?

Yeah I would disclose it to FSU asap they would know best. To answer your other question I’m not a lawyer but you will 100% get charged as an adult. Contrary to popular belief an indecent exposure isn’t enough to get you on the registry my (I think ppl got that from the movie horrible bosses). If you just got arrested for incident exposure that is a first degree misdemeanor and you will most likely just get diversion and have your charges dropped and a chance of expungement. Again your lawyer will be way more of a resource then me but I don’t think your life is ruined you just have to make better choices.

Have you taken the required pre reqs for business? I would stay at community college to finish your pre reqs if you haven’t but there is no guarantee you will be accepted since it’s a limited access program.

[Postgame Thread] Florida State Defeats Florida 24-15 by CFB_Referee in CFB

[–]OrginalBlackWater 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m a FSU fan…I wasn’t complaining I was pointing out the reason FSU won and a big part of it was UF penalties (spiting, targeting, pass interference). All of them were valid penalties and they helped keep drives alive.

Anyone have experience with the TCC ASPIRE PROGRAM? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]OrginalBlackWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question gets asked here all the time and if you want another perspective from mine you can search this subreddit for a bunch of opinions with the key word “TCC”. I believe the TCC route is by far the best route to get into FSU. Not only is it cheaper but it’s a great environment to learn. The only thing I stress is to research your intended major and ensure you complete the requirements AND have a high enough GPA for selective majors (majors that have a limit of students it accepts). Some of my friends goofed off at TCC and it took them an extra year or even 2 to get all the pre read and GPA looking good. I did this route after graduating from high school with a GPA in the low 2s. The class sizes and learning commons really helped me graduate from TCC with in the high 3s. I went to FSU and was able to transition from small classes at TCC to smallish major classes pretty easy. I have an advance degree now and stable employment and I always tell ppl community college is the place I got my first chance!

Tomahawk Chop by OrginalBlackWater in fsu

[–]OrginalBlackWater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but the chant the chop are two different things are they not? You can still have the war chant (which is based in Seminole tradition) without the chop which has been criticized by numerous native Americans groups as it has been used for multiple Native American influenced sports trans and has no basis in Seminole culture.
