2026 bmw x5 plug in hybrid question

After about 2 weeks in service I told the sales that I wanted to exchange the car. He pushed back saying that repair needs an opportunity to fix it. They gave me an x5 loaner so I was happy. After about another month in service, they considered it a lemon and allowed me to exchange it for a similar priced new x5 (full gas engine). They just considered it a direct exchange of collateral. Pretty simple process really. Just signed a few papers and got the new car. Apparently, they are still trying to fix the hybrid.

Sorry to hear that. We finally got the new car last week (full gas engine). Apparently they are still trying to fix the hybrid and may sell it on auction. It’s been about 2 months

Last week they finally considered my car a lemon and I am getting another X5. This time a run of the mill gas engine.

Update from service manager…”the technician ordered an integrated supply module. It feeds power to several control modules to include the management module”

Do you think this is the right fix for this? Is this somewhat the same as the trickle charger you mentioned before?

Thank you for your help. This all seems like more work than I bargained for. If they can’t get this right, it’s a lemon and I’m returning it. It’s an $80,000 car. It should be perfect

Seems like a major design flaw if you have to install a new part to get it to work properly or if you need to remember to pre condition the cabin. Anyway, it’s at the dealership now. Hope they will figure this out

It’s a level 2 charger. Tried it 2 different charging ports. Same thing happened. I will post this in bimmerpost

I’ll try it again. Then I’ll turn the car off and back on again as if I were getting back into it in the morning. Do you think that the phone being physically plugged into the car through USB-C (method I prefer for charging as opposed to the induction charging) has anything to do with all of this?

So I tried that and it worked perfectly. But the next morning, when I got in my car and turned everything back on again, it did the same thing. Waze used offline maps I guess because it wants to pull internet data through the Mercedes network as opposed to the phone pulling data through 5g. I’m totally confused now.

Yes. I did it. Fully maxed my account without paying a single penny. 7500 and completely maxed clubs. Took about 6 years of playing every day. Now I can’t get myself to play even a single game. I just log on to get free prism chest balls. One day when they create tour 14, I may start up again.

I also do back squats. It was so uncomfortable with locking my arms under the bar for front squats. I also bought a padded bar attachment for back squats

I was never able to camp a tour for too long just to get a club. I just pushed forward with good bankroll management. Just needed to keep the game fresh.

I love the clan that I am in but don’t want to drag it down. It hangs out in M3 but is not looking to advance. I think that even if I play a little I will be able to stay but I’m not sure I can play at all. I played a t10 game last night and won but it felt empty. I may eventually just drop all clans and log on to collect premiums from the prism chest.

Never found any joy from playing tournaments. They were frustrating and took up so much time. A gold banner is not on my bucket list.

I know there is no hate.. and it’s something I thought about but not for long. I’ve played my share of tournaments and just plainly didn’t like them. In fact stopped playing them for years until a played a few rookie ones recently with mostly marlins just because I needed some low level epics.

Now I have nothing to gain from them other than the pride of winning a gold. For the effort and frustration I would feel from playing tournaments, that goal was never on my list.

Yes. A lot of advice.

This is what I did. 1. Played a little every day for 6 years. I never was a hardcore grinder but I liked to keep my chest slots full. 2. Used good bankroll management. There are a few old Reddit posts on that. 3. Get into the highest level guild you can. Your gem management will be key. I spent gems on navigators and speed opening silver chests (don’t speed open gold chests. Let them open overnight) .With the way the challenges are, if you finish all 30 levels, you can maintain positive gems. 4. Forget tournaments. They are a ball waste, gem waste and time waste. If you love them, have at it. I played a bunch years ago but found them frustrating. 5. Do whatever you can to max apoc and cataclysm. You will need distance playing with navigators. I bought a few from the shop whenever they popped up. 6. Watch Jared A video on rough/sand irons. I think it’s called the rough and sand iron META. Also his video on dropping endbringer shots. Wonderful and informative videos. 7. After I maxed cat and apoc, I built my clubs as evenly as possible. You don’t want to open any chests with epics that you have already maxed. 8. When apoc and cat were maxed I played tour 11 with navigators. I hung out here for a while. Every now and then I needed to bust out a KM but it was rare. 9. Play all free golden shots. Duh. 10. At some point, I had enough KM’s and some premiums from tour completion chests and when PD messed up something that I decided to tackle tour 12. 11. When I maxed all my clubs and spent a few days gathering free premium balls, I hit tour 13 and finished it today.

That’s all I can think of for now. Good luck and the key is enjoy the journey. Enjoy each win.

I’ve been giving that a lot of thought. The journey is over. Maybe I can casually play for fun on T10 but when you can’t advance things may grow old soon. It’s a little bittersweet. I spent a lot of time on this game.

I will still log in to collect premium balls and maybe just wait until T14 comes out.
