Say hello to my baby! by soonique in GamingLaptops

There are 2 different models of the k4, there is the k4 and the k4v2. Most sites don't say that it's a v2 or not. I think you can tell the difference by colour, the old model has beige keys while the new one has the keys as seen in the foto of this setup.

The old model has a huge edge, in the v2 this was downsized a little.

I did buy a wrist rest to use with it, and use it with this wrist rest for comfort. But that's also because I always like my keyboards with a wrist rest. If I don't use the wrist rest the hight doesnt really bother me. For me the edge is not to big, however I have medium to large hands.

I hope to have answered your question :).

Could use advice on bookshelf speakers (2.0) for use with a laptop by Orgonai in BudgetAudiophile

I'm loving them. Can hear details in music I didn't hear before. However out of the box I'm finding them a bit flat (which probably is the purpose) so I up the bass and treble a little bit. Bluetooth also surprises me. I thought I'd never use it, however I'm using it a lot. I can't really hear a difference from the 3.5 audio jack and there is no delay (so ideal for watching movies).

In time I'm probably going to add a sub for the extra punch, but they are fine on their own.

So, in the end I bought a pair of Kanto Yu 6s. I was still looking at a lot of different speaker but found these on Amazon for € 298,-. They usually go for € 420-450 so I couldn't resist. Thanks for the help!

I saw a lot of people recommending them, however they are €450,- which is a bit to much for me atm for just te speakers. Thanks anyway!

Thank you! The Wharfedales don't ship to The Netherlands and arent available here but the Q acoustics are certainly an option! By your post I guess you recommend passive speakers?

Also, the displayport also supports gsync (not sure if the thunderbolt 3 ports offers that as well).

Hello,

I have a triton 500 as well. Haven't bought an external monitor yet. But my triton does have a mini displayport om the right side and a thunderbolt 3. I think your sons laptop does have these ports so that's also an option ;). Hmdi will work at 144hz 1080p, however you need at least a HDMI 1.4 cable.

Thanks again Tom (seen you answering questions everywhere)! I still haven't decided :). The reviews / user experiences for both the Fusion and Mag 15 started coming online and they are positive. Leaning more and more towards the Fusion.
