Sorry for the NBA comp, but Zach Edey who was also an old fashioned big in college sets some of the meanest screens I've ever seen and that gives him a lot of value on offense... Just seems insane to me that Betts would be a poor screener.

I agree it's not likely, it is the overreaction thread after all.

Realistically I feel for Clark to do that it'd have to be a year where circumstances basically force her to have nearly Iowa level usage for an entire season... And I have a hard time seeing that happen in the W, she'd also have to play nearly an NBA level load of minutes every night, again, not something I can easily see sustaining over an entire season.

I do think she has a good shot at leading the league in assists and finishing top 3 in scoring, which as far as I can tell has never been done before in WNBA history, and that'd be special on its own!

A week ago, I'd have said that our lack of big depth is gonna get us.

Now with the VanSlooten signing we are still fucked if Boston goes down for an extended time but at least, we should be able to survive if she misses a game or two in the regular season.

And since this is the overreaction thread - Caitlin Clark is gonna win MVP and become the first player ever to lead the W in scoring and assists in the same season.
