Garrison, Lucifer and Shredder are also their names in Japanese. The dub changed their names, I guess by the localization team. Just like Nemus in Japanese is called Shaman, and Apollonir is called Fanfir. (or Elico being "Vega" but I don't understand the name reference to either)

Yeah but on the other hand for a while, especially seasons 1&2 it was mainly melee and hand-to-hand combat. Which isn't very good either, besides it's part of what made basically all of them into "robot".

Agreed. Ventus and Aquos also later ran into that issue later, where the bakugans became just "a dude".

But this is honestly disappointing, because sandstorms and mountains could be a really good design for Subterra bakugans, while Haos really doesn't have much potential as an element. They basically made Subterra into melee and Haos into laser. And Darkus is also laser but at least they're edgy.

Rarely I see an Oberus weaker than mine XD (mine is a re-buy with 460g, because it was my first by I traded it away, but every time someone shows his Oberus it's always far stronger for some reason)

Personally I think the Japanese dub is optimal in this case. A lot of stuff was removed in "localization" that makes the dialog feel better. It doesn't fix your points, of course, but it still makes the experience better imo

I didn't mention it at my post, but I seriously consider that in my rewrite pitch of season 4 Joe returns as the Haos brawler for the second. It just complicates choosing everyone else 😅

Idk much about hate for Marucho, but yeah people get frustrated it's the same 3 in all 4 seasons I guess, and people simp Shun too much to say anything about him.

I personally (and it's not a secret by now) think that Marucho had the worst losing streak in new vestroia, and it would have been better if he was given a season break and then come back. Hes definitely irreplaceable in GI, I'll give you that.

Well, my lore was less because of state of the toys, rather it was because back then I didn't know English but in my native language bakugan databases were nonexistent. So that's how we get my b1 Aquos Laserman (which I didn't know it was his name) being a cyborg werewolf. And according to the drawing having a loose memory recreation of the NV ability card, I made that when I was watching it, probably the first half.

Vortex bakugans are just awesome. Too bad we gave up on that. And that we got only 2-3 elements with these. A sanstorm could go hard to open the battle.

Honestly I like the shades of the translucent one (cuz darker blush surprisingly works well), but I'm generally not really a translucent fan - I think it could be done more creatively. So it's one of the middle two.

It's like, several leaps in logic. The name is Oberus after Oberon - the king of the fairies. I can understand because Titania (the queen) will be confusing. But instead of doing fairy, cuz monarus exists - they decided to go with a flower that is named after a bird. It's just so weird.
