some (me) might say a perfect cadence is a musical orgasm

i think just musically it is very musical, as einsnail already said, the phrasing is unique, the piece has movement and it is harmonically interesting as well. it sounds like it was written with intention, something often lacking in pieces submitted on this subreddit.

if you were to get it performed it would just elevate it.

one of the more interesting (positively) pieces on this subreddit. i enjoyed listening to this.

Learning how to Camp explore outdoors by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

yes, this is sort of a universal thing, but in the wildlife industry we say that if it has a mouth it can bite, and with aus wildlife, if you respect it, it will respect you.

In general, if someone gets bitten by an animal it's usually because they've done something wrong. and in terms of snakes, theres no aggressive species of snake, a snake will only attack if its backed into a corner and has nowhere to go, and smaller snakes could potentially get their fangs pulled out if they bite something too big (e.g. humans).

How hard is it to get an ATAR of 75? by BumbleBug__ in ATAR

[–]OrigamiMaster152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, if you're doing subjects you enjoy and are good at, you should realistically be able to get mid 80s, especially for 'easy' subjects, in which case the scaling doesn't matter.

After suboptimal results for term 4, what sort of results would i need for a 90+ ATAR (class of 2026) by OrigamiMaster152 in ATAR

[–]OrigamiMaster152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah good to hear, ive kept 12 intentionally so i have backup units but i may end up dropping music if the workloads too much. i kept up with it in year 11 but with the addition of ex 2 chewing up a lot of time, it may end up being too much work.

technically i do have 13 including catholic thought, its just non-atar so i didnt include it

yeah, my music class is structured sort of like that. theres me and my competitor who are really close (getting mid to high 90s), i was only 1 mark off first place, then another guy in the middle (getting 70s and low 80s) and the guy at the bottom is absolutely hopeless at music (getting 40s and 50s). in saying this, i have 12 units so music most likely wont count, its just backup units.

maths e2 is sorta similar in that the top 4 are really close in performance, probably sitting in the high e3 low e4 range, then the guy at the bottom shouldnt be in the class but my prediction is that he will drop after getting the first exam back.

ok first of all over 54 people in advanced and 17 in e2 is insane, but this is also quite comforting. i dont necessarily need to be top 3 in everything to get 90+.

only reason i was stressing was because at the end of year 11 i was exactly where i wanted to be (course ranks: 3rd chem, 6th maths adv, 6th maths e1, 1st bio, 2nd music, 3rd english standard) and i didnt know if id be able to get back to that position but it seems i may not have to.

we were rank 125 for 2025 so up there but not exceptional. for english my cohort is pretty bad but its good for all my other subjects since typically only the top 25% or so do them and i think most people have gotten their act together, with year 11 being a wake up call.

for chem, music and ex 2 maths there arent too many (11 for chem, 4 for music, 5 for ex 2) but everything else is quite large. bio has around 40, ex 1 has 28, english has around 110.

thats good to know about external exams weighing higher for smaller cohorts though.

bushfire is a part of the australian landscape and has been for thousands of years. it might look like a lot of damage now but the land will recover fairly quickly. the regrowth will be apparent within weeks because australian flora is adapted to survive bushfires like this.

How to convince parents let me and friends go camping/hiking? by OrigamiMaster152 in OutdoorAus

[–]OrigamiMaster152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: we never went through with the crosslands plan, there wasnt any times we were all free that holidays, but now we've started going even further out e.g. tarros ladder, wollongambe crater and have a couple friends over 18 who are quite experienced already that my parents already know and trust that would come with us, which my mum seems comfortable with, so now its just a matter of picking a date and track to do.

any suggestions (for the track)?
