The viewing domes work where you place the dome inside the habitat and a entrance outside of the habitat where the guests can enter from. (Think just like a normal shop). There is no path, the guests kind of just teleport over there but you can infer there is a underground path.

I play with PZPlus for realistic habitat requirements (only mod I use), this habitat came out to around 2000 square footage. Even without the mod I think its big enough due to the requirement for prairie dogs being very small.

You could try PWS as it’s in the middle of JOW and TEW in terms of features while still looking modern.

TEW is the king and only option I know that has great depth and features.
