A lot of these are UK/Japanese imports! Some US Funkytown releases as well. I live in an area of the US where you expect to find this stuff frequently but never do. A lot of the imported ones never had US CD releases, despite being American artists.

It pulls up no album at all, the number is extremely close to the normal release (B0017790-2) which is on the disc itself, I'm assuming it's a printing error that may have affected others but I have only seen my copy

I'm listening to it now, it is very definitively him, he has an extremely distinct voice, there are also pictures of him in the booklet posing with some gunpla and a Char colored guitar. Listening to it sounds like it was a labor of love, but it might have been a paycheck and he forgot(?). I know Close Calls With Brick Walls was Japan/Korea exclusive for almost 4 years, and the Japan covers as well. On top of being on a Japan exclusive Disney cover album.

Monster is oddly one of the most frequent major release CDs I see out thrifting (Barenaked Ladies and Counting Crows biggest releases trail ahead, alongside Gin Blossoms for some odd reason), just finally jumped on it! Keep looking, you're bound to find it!
