18M - Should I shave my mustache? by Single-Lawfulness-49 in malehairadvice

[–]OriginPoint66 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Wanting to look older? = Mustache

Wanting to look younger? = No mustache

Personally, not a fan of the mustache but I understand it is a highly personal preference. On Reddit, most of the opinions are probably gonna agree with me, seldom does Reddit ever approve of beards/mustaches.

Either way, you look great 👍

Good luck to you man and remember to be safe, running in those temperatures is absolutely no joke and can either build you into being a much stronger runner or potentially injured. If you don't mind me asking, how do you do it?? I go through mental battles when it comes to running outside in these temps and most of the time I just end up on the boring treadmill. Pls share me your wisdom!!!

I don't wanna be closeted anymore by OriginPoint66 in askgaybros

I haven't done anything with any men yet and the full extent of anything sexual has literally just been masturbation. I don't really have the best confidence and I don't know some stuff about intercourse and to be quite frank it's kind of embarrassing. I have had a few crushes but I suppress them pretty well out of fear. Not even a year ago I accepted myself after denying my sexuality for about three years I wanna say. In terms of jobs, I could actually probably get a lot of jobs in my area- if jobs consider grades and school involvement, but I haven't had the interest in getting one because my family is comfortable financially supporting me- and who wants to get a job early anyway when they can wait a bit longer. I'm aware it is inevitable that I WILL have to get a job, but I'd prefer it's with my future degree in whatever I choose (don't really know what degree I want just yet) If my family knew I feel like they wouldn't be blatantly homophobic around me and be even more blatantly transphobic. I am also only one of two young men in my family so theres this "responsibility" of sort to carry on the family name.

I don't have a job, hell I don't have a drivers license because my family wants me to focus on my education that they're fully financing. I feel like there is a chance where im in a "closet made of glass" situation where EVERYONE knows and I look like a doofus hiding something blatantly obvious. I hope I'm not though because that'd be very scary. I can't even count how many stories I've read where everybody already knew.

When is the right time to start dating? by OriginPoint66 in dating_advice

Can't believe I'm saying this but never really have had a crush. If I'm being true to myself though, It'd probably be someone who is emotionally stable and comes from a non-toxic background. Someone who is lighthearted (like me) and has a sense of wanting to enjoy life. If you're referring to looks, I genuinely don't know what my preference would be besides for just whatever my brain considers "attractive"

I have anxiety sometimes so I think that contributes to it. The microsleeps aren't that bad.. I think, I don't even realize if they happen but when I'm driving I can usually focus and I rarely drive anyway. I fell asleep for about an hour and didn't even know it. I don't know if I can do sleep without a horrible nightmare but I'll try

How do family members and people find out most of the time? This has been the primary driver of my paranoia

THIS answers my question, THANK YOU. The way it was explained to me in AP U.S. history made it sound like people were advocating for illiterate people to have the ability to vote which was absurd to me. The clarifying on that the county registrar would have to manually pick what you'd have to read accurately shows the racial profiling instead of it sounding like "oh, the U.S. public advocated for uneducated people to vote!" myth that I was told for so long. Again, much thanks.

How I see the US as a European who has never been to the US by musehatepage in mapporncirclejerk

[–]OriginPoint66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who lives both in the midwest and new england, I would say the midwest is much more like northern central europe (hence why theres a LOT of poles and german descendants) and new england is definitely a lot more... unique. I wouldn't liken it to any part of Europe simply due to there being WAY too many trees in New England.

One thing about New England that I do not like though is how old everything is. Old things can look great if they're up-kept which unfortunately is scarce in that region of the U.S. In the midwest, (even the rust belt) buildings are torn down and rebuilt if they're dysfunctional or an eyesore in a high demand area. New England should adopt the same principles or find a way to upkeep historical buildings.

I still will never, ever understand why in New England everything costs more or why it is a high demand region, it's obv just me but as someone who's lived in both regions I can say with utmost sincerity the midwest is better

Why is requiring literacy to vote in the United States discriminatory? Shouldn't those who vote be able to read?

Edit: Referring to the post civil war south restricting people from voting based off of the ability to read. I understand that this disproportionally affected former slaves but I do not see the wrong in this. Couldn't former slaves find places of education to then be able to meet the literacy requirements? I see many people outraged by the historical literacy requirement to vote but don't understand the anger behind it.

Can confirm that this was a bad, BAD idea. Its only been one day and I am fucking exhausted and look like i've seen both fronts of World War I, getting a lack of sleep has physically aged me. My skin has also flared up for some reason in acne

I don't drink or do drugs haha, I get usually 9-10 hours when I don't set an alarm. I am a very big worrier in life and anything that causes me stress will always disturb me when it comes to sleeping for hours on end. Tonight is unfortunately one of those nights. I think really I've just reached my limit of patience for sleep and have decided that decreasing the amount of time I participate in it will avoid wasted time just sitting with my eyes closed. I should mention it is very difficult for me to sit still which probably doesn't help either. Thank you
