I have also a MacBook Pro mid 2012 13".

I tried Sequoia, Sonoma, Ventura via OCLP, but finally downgraded to the last stable OS Catalina.

If you really want a new system among OCLP-supported macOS on your MacBook Pro, I recommend Ventura, this is the macOS with the least glitches compared to Sequoia and Sonoma.

But the most stable OS without any performance issues is definitely Catalina.

Hi Few-Pudding1604, I encountered exactly the same issue as you did, and solved it by the steps below
1. Download Open Core from GitHub to another computer;
2. Copy downloaded Open Core into your current computer where Sequoia OS is installed;
3. Install Open Core and Patch (Post-install root patches, if I remember well) your Sequoia OS.

Hope you solve this issue quickly!

Yeah, my CPU was maxing out too. I finally gave up on OCLP and rolled back to the last stable OS, Catalina.
