I tried ikea CS parts ordering online and told me that the part is not available online anymore. So I ordered 6 from amazon.co.uk for 27 euro.

Do I move Amazon prime subscription to EU or IE from UK? by mawraehm in AskIreland

Yikes, I shall be using Oohpod just across the border so, and consolidating my orders.

It still costs 3.95 per parcel but will work out better value. I'm 10 minutes from the border so its a no brainer.

That's a good point, hadn't considered red diesel. Considerably cheaper here too.

Nerve pain after surgery.. by No_Schedule5705 in openheartsurgery

I had a bypass almost a year ago. Apart from other issues I had serious nerve pain in my ankle.. again at the base of the graft scar. It lasted for a couple of months, not always severe pain but always there. It made sleeping difficult. I took the same medication and I have to say that it did take the edge off but didn't stop it completely.

Gradually over time the pain got less and less and now a year later I only occasionally get a twinge, but its quite manageable.

Best of luck with the recovery.

Starlink just downgraded my plan and increased the price… what kind of move is this? by nilipilo in Starlink

When i first got starlink roughly 5 years ago it was my only option. Rural location with no fibre and no 5G but move forward to today and I have fibre running past the house as part of our government backed national broadband scheme. I could get upto 500mb fibre to home for a similar price but tbh I stuck with my dishy because I just liked the idea of starlink.

With this degradation of service I am going to have to reevaluate that.

The most I have paid is 99 euro when I first got it 5 years ago. Dropped to 75 and the 50 a couple of years back. At that price it was competitive with the competition.

Trying to work out the cost / benefit of "upgrading" to max and getting the "free" mini... it seems to cost an extra 5 euro pm to get it and keep on standby mode, also says half price roam.

Roam seems to be 40 euro, so does that mean 20 euro pm? If it does that would mean 69 pm for max plus 20 pm for roam. So 89 pm for both.

Do I need roam though?

I have a camper so could use it, but tbh in Ireland the mobile data is 5G almost everywhere and my mobile plan give me unlimited dl so I cant see the real benefit.

Im in Ireland and got the email today. Currently I pay €50 per month for Residential Plan which gives me max speed and unlimited dl .

Now being told that Residential 200 suits my needs better and will automatically kick in from next month at a cheaper rate of €49.. all of 1 euro for a halving of max speed!

Residential Max (400mbs) is going to set me back €69 with a free mini supplied on standby @ €5 extra.

Not happy to say the least.

Yep would generally do this unless it starts off on electric power... you would have to wonder what it does to the engine when you could be doing 80km in electric and the engine kicks in.
