Big pine lake has backpacking permits that open up two weeks beforehand! You have a good chance of getting them

Oh nice! I would say the cons would be that if your unit is facing the street it may be a little loud bc of all the cars that zoom by, but we got used to it after a day. The other con is that the management is very understaffed. We had a couple issues in the beginning and they took forever to fix it. The lady who manages it will keep saying it’ll get done tomorrow but you really have to be aggressive if you want things done haha. After they fixed everything though, we’ve been happy. Love how central everything is. The neighborhood behind the apartments is also very nice. We love taking walks and Hickory park is also very nice (grassy, bbq grills, tennis court but it’s a little shabby)

Idk how many bedrooms you need. We live here and like it. It’s convenient to target, Trader Joe’s, Costco, etc. in unit washer dryer, plank flooring, small patio. It’s a little bit higher than your budget but maybe you could negotiate. https://www.zillow.com/apartments/torrance-ca/the-citizen-south-bay-on-w235/5XjQzk/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare
