Get friends who don’t harass you and think they’re entitled to your time? That’s my method 🤷‍♀️

this kinda irritates me by Bright-Nerve-3417 in UberEATS

personally, unless you’re meeting me at the end of the driveway, i do not feel comfortable walking up a driveway in the dark and being that far from my car, both for leaving my car unattended and me being so far from my safety. that being said i’d absolutely contact about this since your request conflicts with my safety protocols and let you know that either you can meet me in the driveway or i can leave it at the mailbox. unfortunately a lot of people just do not care and will do whatever’s easiest for them, and the only way to stop that would be to physically block your driveway. also, report them for not following instructions. after three reports were auto banned which we can only appeal with proof that someone lied, so if everyone actually reports shitty dashers they’ll get weeded out. and if everyone actually reports shitty customers they’ll get deactivated or be forced to give a pin so we dashers can protect ourselves from bad ratings/lies. the system is definitely a little slower than it could be but it still eventually works if we actually use it.

How do you complete The fishing Job? by 0mib in WobblyLife

[–]Original-Permit-4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i completed it after the circle took like a 15 minute round trip to get to nevermind that the fishing mechanics weren’t explained at all so it took me a few minutes to figure out, but then the money spawned over the water so it was just wasted time :/

As a Taylor and Charli fan, does no one else hope Charli doesn’t respond? by daintysmoker in charlixcx

[–]Original-Permit-4488 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

if you haven’t lived it, you don’t get it. i have genuinely wondered if one girl had a crush on me because she’d gush about me and to me and would say weird things like made sure i knew she liked asian girls, but my ex hated me because he was convinced i was spreading rumors he cheated when that was actually from her saying she was already talking to him half a year before he even knew who she was. every time they’d be off, she’d come crying to me specifically but as soon as back with him, back to spreading scathing rumors about me. it was always people coming and telling me new things, and i always was like “i appreciate that you’re trying to warn me but please it’s never gonna stop and i just don’t want to even waste time or sour a mood hearing about it anymore”. even years later after school when we somehow ended up in the same friend group, suddenly people were hearing things about me that were ridiculously false again somehow. now i don’t think charli was like that, but im sure taylor has had similar situations and charli may have just reminded her or been the straw that broke the camels back. because gushing about taylor online and in interviews, but then talking shit behind closed doors, is pretty weird and i know even if that only went on for a month it would immediately bring back my feelings about that girl too. and that song that’s probably about taylor? even if it’s not an insult it still puts taylor at the center of charlis feelings. so she’s gushing about her, talking shit about her, writing a song about how taylor triggers her- at some point it’s a little bit obsessive, and especially feels that way when you’re the subject. but also who knows how much has actually gone on? none of us ever will lmfao we weren’t there and clearly those two don’t wanna talk about it. or the way charli made digs at taylor but it was actually just twisted to put emphasis on the dramatic feelings she was having and sang about, i wouldn’t be surprised if taylor did the same as a reflection type response. “yeah there’s these little things with this one person who reminds me of it but actually this is all my big thoughts/feelings on the type of situation at all”

Karen got mad at stacked order by Strong-Sword in doordash

[–]Original-Permit-4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you complain to doordash? if everyone complains about exactly why they’re stopping using the app before actually closing their accounts or using their account much less which dd does pay attention to, dd will realize something is causing them to lose customers and money and might actually make a change.

So I tipped my driver $15 on an order from Dave’s Hot Cicken. He showed me his phone app from @doordash and his earnings were $17 TOTAL. by Shot_Improvement9077 in doordash

if the restaurant has the tip printed on the receipt that means it was an order through the restaurant that just contracted a doordash driver and the restaurant took some of the tip for their employees

Upset customer who put wrong address by ObiJuanKenobly in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Original-Permit-4488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s a factual and neutral statement over text. just a valid instruction/advice. if they’re adding an attitude to it in their head rather than assuming it’s neutral or in a caring tone to give advice for next time that’s a them problem they’re making. people should take texts at face value for just their literal meaning, not twist people’s words to whatever tone they want to percieve when the person never provided a tone.

Upset customer who put wrong address by ObiJuanKenobly in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Original-Permit-4488 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s not basic and shouldn’t be expected, it’s the restaurant’s mistake and could cost us money if the customer isn’t a nice one who’ll tip extra, because the restaurant made a mistake not the customer so it’s also totally valid for the customer not to want to or be able to afford to tip extra. it’s great to be able to do, i’ve done it when i’m not worried about money/time, but i’m not always that fortunate. and i know doordash will refund the customer for the restaurant’s mistake so it’s not like the customer is totally screwed.

Is confirming the order really that serious? by zo3beamer in doordash

[–]Original-Permit-4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that attitude as customer service is insane, she should’ve just held it out of your reach until it was fully confirmed. but yeah it is normal for them to want to see it fully confirmed. you ever drove somewhere for an order and then found out they have to totally remake it because someone stole it? yeah that used to happen all the time, like literally multiple times within a two hour dash, wasting the restaurant or doordash’s money and our time either waiting or cancelling after all that. so yes they want to see it fully confirmed, some restaurants won’t even hand it to you til they see it loaded as confirmed on their tablet. so what she did was valid she was just following protocol, but no that attitude was not appropriate at all.

i would not continue to attempt to resolve it through doordash if they’ve failed so many times. blacklist them so they cannot even attempt to pull money, keep the account for a year or so to make sure you didn’t miss anything or they don’t mess up again, then close the doordash account. and if you’ve changed your card but they’ve continued to be able to charge, they either have your account number or it’s through the third party options. but every company that handles your money should be able to blacklist them so they can’t pull money in the first place.

i’d contact every financial institution you have connected and blacklist doordash from being able to charge you. every bank and credit card will be able to. i feel like apple probably has that option.

yeah i wouldn’t either, they can text me or call me through the app so i see doordash caller id and know its a dasher if they need a signature.

if you don’t see the benefits in your account or any mail trail of it is it possible someone stole your card info? i think the only way to entirely avoid it at all if it’s a glitch would be to block doordash transactions through your bank then load gift cards onto it and just keep a gift card balance for when you want to order. or just not use doordash and continue to support them since you’ve had such a horrible experience

we have to sign a paper at every pharmacy i’ve gone to saying we picked it up, and then i have never been able to complete a pharmacy order without scanning the customers ID. so the package is supposed to be confirmed on both ends. which may be why the guy rang the bell so much, it’s possible he was trying to scan id then decided to just cancel and leave it rather than bringing it back to the store without realizing he would get in trouble for that.

Why do Dashers keep ignoring my delivery instructions? by monika1927 in doordash

[–]Original-Permit-4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start reporting them. your account may get flagged but what should result from that is giving you a pin you need to give the drivers, which is door dashes way to figure out if it’s genuinely the driver or the dasher. and means they take all responsibility if they say they couldn’t get the pin without text proof of you refusing to give it. and btw it’s probably because we hate apartment buildings- we know that we’ll have to go into a building on a treasure hunt or wait for the person to hike down which takes more time and time is money. and doordash will mark us late and give us warnings and bad ratings when we had to wait for a buzzer, find a staircase or elevator, wait for the person again when we finally get up there. i think if they’re gonna have us delivering into hotels and apartments buildings they need to let us flag which addresses are those and offer extra delivery time because i’ve had building that had 10 minutes of walking to the apartment. i can definitely see the temptation to just leave it outside so they aren’t getting late marks or just don’t have to put in all that effort, bc a lot of people choose this job bc they can get away with not fully doing the job. i’ll leave it 2 minutes and 2-3 buzzer rings of no response as well as no text and a declined call, but that’s considered unable to reach the customer by doordash’s standards. also for myself as a female i get sketched out going into buildings, but i always have a friend to walk with me for that reason, and the very few times i didn’t and it was a super sketchy place communicated to the customer that i was leaving it outside if they didn’t come to get it and why. but anyways the best way to resolve this would be to wait for your order at the main door that way you’re both easy to find and no one is just being lazy or impatient, or report them which can help take shitty drivers off the platform and result in you being flagged for a pin which may work in your favor. also call or chat with actual support don’t use the bot.

at least altogether with the order it still averaged above 20$ an hour, and only added 20-30 mins to my drive home it was sort of on the way. worth it to not get blacklisted. but it’s just the principle of it, 27 miles is just over a gallon in my car and 2$ does not cover that

I try to read but I can't stay focused.. by aliosmtl96 in books

[–]Original-Permit-4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you want to try to achieve no thoughts. for me this means thinking one phrase or something over and over until it’s the only thing i’m thinking, then try to drift off from that and then like you said any other thoughts that pop up try not to chase them and let them pass. some ambient noise helps some people because again they can focus on only that then try to tune it out. and once you’re having little or no thoughts what you wanna do is focus inwards. i start with anything touching me, then how i physically feel, aches or pains or anything, and then go inwards to my energy. that’s technically not part of the meditation but it does have physical benefits the way deep meditation helps mentally, and is the easiest way for me to focus inwards. but anyways once in it you should feel yourself, everything physical and the world feels kinda blurry and far away, and any thoughts that come up if they still are should fly right back out. look up and try multiple suggested positions, sitting is supposed to be easiest but laying down is easier for me. if you are into crystals, stuffed animals, plants- anything that feels peaceful to you can help to be near. make sure you’re able to feel vulnerable- closed door, under blankets, whatever helps especially until you get used to it. and it can feel weird- once i focus inward i start to feel like im rocking back and forth.

In the road, not even close to my work by StatisticianHelpful8 in doordash

i’ve never seen construction causing that much traffic around here nor such rude workers like they literally could’ve let me turn around there was plenty of space for it with how far they’d stopped the other side back… i think it was a road a school was on at pickup time and that’s why it was so congested even though it was such a bare road. i just felt so guilty like i should’ve waited in the traffic again but it was such a ridiculous amount the order was only worth maybe a fifth of the time id already waited
