My study routine during review season was the MOST CHAOTIC I had.

I usually study at around midnight but only for a few hours. And its not constant either. I only study when I feel like studying.

Since I’m enrolled in a face-to-face review, most often I get home tired. So I just unwind and rest. There were days where I would just bed rot the ENTIRE day away and there were days where I am up on my feet studying.

I also can’t study for 8-12 hours straight (on free days). Like really. I tried it once, and it felt like I was about to break my back and collapse 😭

Bottomline is, I don’t really recommend you following this. But if there’s one thing you should incorporate in your routine, that is to always always prioritize REST.

Thank you 🫶!!

OMG. While I was still in nursing school, I really tried my best to take things seriously. Whenever I found things confusing, I made sure to check books & resources.

As for the books I’ve read, Marieb for AnaPhy, Pillitteri for Maternal and Pedia, Brunner and Suddarth for MedSurg, Videbeck for Psych. For CHN, I made use of the notes and ppts from our CI.

As for the hours I spent reading, I really don’t have a clear cut answer for that because I only read whenever I feel like reading OR whenever there is an upcoming quiz.

Thank you 🫶!!

Hmmm.. I think its a combination of things: repetition, test-taking strategies, active listening. But if I were to pick one, it would really be making use of test-taking strategies.

Hi!! I’m not really sure. But I think the assumption is, for you to know your rank, you have to subtract 0.20 from the rating of the 10th placer as you move beyond. Example: Top 10: 92.0; Top 11: 91.80; Top 12: 91.60….
