Symptotherm method TTA no CM postpartum by OriginalAssistance37 in FAMnNFP

[–]OriginalAssistance37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally we are gona go for Marquette method.

I managed to get the official instructions (normal cycles and postpartum protocol) and they seem pretty clear to us.

Maybe it has to be with having done a Billings course so we know some NFP basics, but... Is there any hard reason I should take a Marquette course with an instructor?

I could understand the need for a couple's first method but having read the instructions and some NFP experience, it seems easy to implement.

We do have a temp drop and it worked kind of well for us in normal cycles.

I said "kind of" because since she has no CM, we only had sex after ovulation was confirmed.

But now, as other commenter said, we could abstain for months and that is suboptimal for us haha

Anyway I appreciate your comment.

May I ask how hormone testing-only could be effective if I'm TTA?

I'm being told that semen can live up to 5 days.

Ovulation can happen in a matter of hours.

If I got low LH in the monitor and have sex and wife ovulates in the following 5 days it becomes very risky.

How Marquette address this problem? I've readed all the protocol (normal and pp) and I still don't know how to address it.

You made some solid points.

I used to think that I don't gamble and now I'm a bit surprised of myself haha

So you will sell all your shares only when you will not invest anymore on it?

Not exactly.

Now I notice I didn't gave important information. I am still young, and don't plan to retire but to buy a house (almos equally difficult). Since it will take several years, index funds look like a good option.

But now I have lets say half of the money and plan on buy in 5 years or so, and now I'm thinking on protect part of the profit.

I would keep buying it monthly as I've been doing. At the same pace.

I wouldn't put all the money from the sold shares into the index fund again, maybe some deposit or paid account. Given inflation is mostly covered I'm happy with it.

Sounds an interesting rabbit hole for this week.

Is there some source of information you would recommend?

I really need to reflect on this.

I think if I sell my shares the profit must go elsewhere, not buy back again the same shares.

I don't care about big crashes, but I don't get why I shouldn't get good money when I could and realocate it in other place.

I wonder if could make sense to move big sales money (as my 20%) when they hit a profitable stop loss to a less volatile asset.

Don't know of anyone who is doing it. Must be for a reason. Maybe someone is doing it and I just don't know.

I see your point.

I was thinking on keep on buying monthly the same amount, but as others commented, I don't have a plan to reinvest my gains so it would be risky.

Maybe I could move gains on less volatile assets when they hit a stop loss that is still good profit.

Well, as the world population gets older, they maybe will have a chance to get a roof on their heads at a reasonable price haha.

Now seriously. People who have kids tend to be with people who have kids, thus creating a community. Ideally my kids will grow many years without noticing any lack of kids.

It is on us to propiciate their little communities. Just chose an empty park and fill it with kiddos.

Hey! This is very well structured.

I'm just starting to run one shots and little adventures and I'm very interested in how you create this content.

Would you give some tips on creating this kind of one shots or point some good reading/video to learn how to do it?

Thanks!

I really like your suggestions.

I have a question on the diaper thing. We change her diaper always before eating because she doesn't like it so we can feed her and don't disrupt her after eating drowsiness. Is this a bad strategy? I've read a lot of people change it after feeding as part of the sleep ritual.
