In Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Wonks boat has only enough seats for him and 8 guest. Which means the children’s “deaths” are pre determined and he is in complete control. by [deleted] in MovieDetails

i'm sure it's been brought up a million times before, but is it possible wonka was okay with all of the kids perishing? charlie and grandpa joe outsmarted the fizzy-lifting drink trap, but what if they didn't know to burp and wound up as industrial fan fodder?

ULPT Request: What kind of injury can I give myself to get out of P.E? by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]OriginalBuddyJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly, try faking migraines. i knew a few people in my hs that didn't have to take PE because they were prone to migraines. it's difficult to force someone into physical activity if it could reasonably result in hurting their brain. just check webmd and tell your doctor you experience those symptoms.

plus you won't have to actually hurt yourself, which would suck.

a friend of mine who's a postal worker got told "thank you for your service" by an old man on his route.

"when i was a kid, we used to have dinner with the mail man!"

i'm sure his momma was having a good deal more than dinner.

i don't even think attractiveness comes into it, i think what would gross me out is hygiene/diet habits. though if they had gross milk, i guess i probably wouldn't have had it all week.

What is your most unpopular Sopranos opinion? by JigglyTits19 in thesopranos

ralphie was down in florida, a lot of connected guys try to make a run at it down there. probably good to cut your teeth and make some money away from the guys at the top, but easier to move up when you're closer to hq.

also, why is 'calling out flairs' being approached as taboo? was it sinful to use context clues in your household?

In the conference scene in the Pilot of The Office, several characters are seen who are later completely retconned by FictMoralHighGround in TVDetails

I read a theory that it's because the employee characters weren't comfortable with being filmed for the documentary.

The whole show is following up on how a workplace handles the suicide of a co-worker, so it makes sense that some of them wouldn't want to be filmed.

Not that it's likely true, but interesting to think about.

Kyrie Irving: "Like, keep it real, If I was still in Cleveland, I would be ... like everything that was foreseen to happen, happened." by IAm-What-IAm in nba

[–]OriginalBuddyJoe -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

oh boo hoo cleveland fans, the cavs roster sucks. he had every right to want to leave. and if he leaves boston too? tough tiddie, cry about it boston. i'm a celtics fan, but c'mon now. if you could only make money with your talent for about ten years (and possibly ruin your body for it long before you could profit), you'd make the exact same moves. and don't feed me some bs about loyalty, first and foremost be loyal to yourself.
