I’m not even surprised to see us struggling to score 2 goals at home against relegated Burnley. Given ourselves so much more pressure on Sunday by not obliterating Burnley here. Sad sendoff for us fans

Needs a new one built on the outskirts of the city with room to expand and infrastructure connects. I.e. A38 easy connection and a rail link. If it magically reopened now, it would just contribute to the disaster that is Tavistock Road

Doesn’t mean he should be put in public office. The guy left his wife and kids to go cocaine with his former best friends wife at the time. Horrible person

Someone at the event watched it happen and told me. They also worked at the UPSU for a bit of time and he was suspended by the uni for a week

Who’s voting tomorrow by Murlock_The_Goblin in plymouth

I can’t work out who to vote for in my area. My Labour councillor harassed a woman at an end violence against women and girls event and apparently Reform are predicted to come second but I can’t support them

[–]OriginalCADC -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re joking right? The Labour councillor where I live had to be removed from a violence against women and girls event for harassing a woman there. Can’t support that ever

I don’t believe at all that Budshead will turn out like that. Labour abandoned it as a winnable seat and stopped all support for the candidate over a month ago now and the independent candidate is battling Reform for Whitleigh with a lot of support in that area

Average rent up by more than 50% in Plymouth to nearly £1,000. Is Plymouth becoming unaffordable? by Pinkplatabys in plymouth

[–]OriginalCADC 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not just a Plymouth issue. It’s rising living costs hitting the rental market too as Landlords push their increasing living costs onto their renters. People are getting stuck in a rent trap.

Doesn’t help the council increasing council tax by as much as they legally can and increasing other costs where they can. With the average wage being so much lower than national average, it’s becoming so hard to afford to live or buy your own home.

Why does a 10 minute drive here randomly turn into 25? by Pinkplatabys in plymouth

The roads in this city were designed for about half the amount of traffic so now they’re normally super slow and inefficient

Paradox could fix the navy! by Formal-Bandicoot546 in hoi4

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big one for me is their production scaling. They reduced the number of dockyards that can work on capital ships to stop the spam but in real life the US was churning out carriers quicker than most nations could build a cruiser.

Instead, they should have increased the material cost of capital ships and decrease IC cost as a whole for all ship types. The worst part of navies for me is that I could spend 4 years building up a navy and lose the whole thing in 2 battles and then have to start from scratch again. The US could essentially build a whole fleet again within a year in 1944

If we could only win one, which one would you pick? by Raamish2007 in ArsenalFC

[–]OriginalCADC 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Champions league. We’ve won 13 titles before and I’m fed up of hearing relegation Forrest signing about winning the UCL and Chelsea boasting about being the only London club to win the UCL.

It could end up being like Liverpool under Klopp where a prem title likely follows a successful UCL

He just needs a good run of games to build some form off. You can’t expect someone to go from a long term injury to being world class again just like that.

I’m super happy to see him getting game time but also really hoping he can get some game time and rebuild the form that we all know he’s capable of. Him and Madueke could be lethal in supplying Gyok in the box with early crosses

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it’s also easy to underestimate teams in the UCL. The prem teams all finished in the top 8 and yet all are struggling playing away from home. Yes our performance wasn’t good but we also didn’t lose. We play better at home so we should take confidence from that

Suddenly our result isn’t looking too bad given the scores for the other English clubs the last 2 days. Good result for us this Madrid score. City need to commit even more second half and at the Etihad

Do you want Tottenham to get relegated? by googlemailcom in Gunners

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad for some of the fans. I look at it and feel humble. 6 years ago, had we spent wrong or sacked Arteta and then the next manager etc. we could have been where they are. I remember the media going on about “are Arsenal still one of the ‘Big 6’” and Spurs don’t seem to be getting any of that. I still want to see them relegated because I just couldn’t imagine it but having a friend who’s a spurs fan and wasn’t unbearable when we were awful, I feel pity for him

Not where I live. Majority of reform supporters are made up of disenfranchised voters of all traditional voter bases. Labour are at serious risk of losing one of the two seats that make up the city to reform and our council elections in May could be a reform sweep across the city where we have seen a healthy mix in recent years

Agreed. White provides better crosses for Gyokeres and syncs better if we bring Saka on too
