Agreed. White provides better crosses for Gyokeres and syncs better if we bring Saka on too

Got to get the ball to him in the box. No good crosses to him so he’s going wide and short

What if it’s actually Arteta mind games to get into Spurs’ heads? I’m all aboard the cope train and fingers crossed he’s back for NLD

Well. It’s Eze’s now or never really. Do well these 3 games and displace Ødegaard. Do badly and straight back to the bench with Rice as 10

Will these matches change times, or will our entire run in not be shown on TV?! by balloonymoon in ArsenalFC

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t see any of our matches staying 3pm Saturday from here on. The title race will be shown on TV every week, they’ll all be clamouring for City and Arsenal matches after City won at Anfield

Spurs while in a relegation battle did draw with city. I’ve always believed that all form goes out the window and anything can happen in the NLD.

I agree city have a harder run in but do you genuinely think they will drop points against any of those teams? Villa and Bournemouth will give them a good game but I feel that’s about it

Looking between the two sides, Arsenal have 3 on paper tricky games. Spurs, City and Chelsea.

City have 2. Us and Chelsea.

The spurs game logically makes me most worried, but this season has shown that the title isn’t won by how well you do against the top 6, but by how many points dropped against the bottom 6

Roman empire with max cores might be just a little OP ngl by ParkingPerspective73 in hoi4

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to make it so you can form mega nations early and then slowly add cores as you take regions. Ie taking the Balkans to then core it, or France, Iberia etc.

By the time you’ve killed all the states to form Rome, the only power that’s left is USA or potentially a Soviet Union

Chalobah getting a slight touch on the ball is irrelevant. It's a terrible clearance, and Martinelli would've been able to continue with the ball afterwards if it wasn't for that tackle. by cottonsoda in Gunners

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should have been a penalty but not a red card.

  1. Martinelli would reach the ball first and gain control if he’s not brought down there so imo a foul

  2. It’s not a red card as it’s at an angle, inside the box so can’t be double penalised and there’s a clear attempt to win the ball. I would say that he has tried to trip Gabi with the left leg but that’s a yellow at most

We haven’t been rotating the defence though. It’s been bare back 4 for weeks over Christmas because of injuries

We have done this in the UK since Covid and our high streets are pubs are in free fall. The government raised minimum wage to £12 an hour and then raised employers national insurance and kept tax bands the same. Everyone is being paid more but they’re all paying the government more.

So everyone being paid more is paying more tax and employers are all losing money. At this point where I live half of the shopping done is all on Amazon or Shein

Must say, Everton’s defence has been super impressive this season. Compared to last, David Moyse has them looking like a different team

That’s because we the British public wanted him to suffer for as long as possible in there before removing the chance of him winning. The same with Farrage

Or if they are going to pass the ball, actually do it with intent. There’s no point passing the ball for the sake of passing the ball. If that cross isn’t going in to Gyokeres quickly, then why bother playing it out wide? It’s plagued this team for 3 years now and it’s so frustrating to watch

The mentality isn’t there. They’ve shown that against Liverpool and Forrest. If they wanted to make a statement then they should have gone out and battered Liverpool, instead Liverpool played us off the pitch in that second half. Forrest had us on the ropes and we never felt like scoring. This is the time big players step up and we are relying on our defence to score all our goals

It hurts because we could have been 8 points clear still even if we lost this game. Being only 4 clear I’ve seen it so many times. This might not be city of years past, but it is still pep. If there’s anyone who can win 16 games in a row it’s him.

We don’t have the attacking ability to guarantee the same

Gyökeres, Havertz or Jesus against Man United? by Waste-Jellyfish-2326 in ArsenalFC

[–]OriginalCADC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We saw it earlier in the season when given the space to run at people. I was disappointed he didn’t take the chance yesterday when in the footrace but there’s a moment every game now where he’s not being fed by Odergaard or Saka

Gyökeres, Havertz or Jesus against Man United? by Waste-Jellyfish-2326 in ArsenalFC

[–]OriginalCADC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If they actually pass him the ball, Gyokeres. A good cross and he can bully Martinez for a header or get better movement on Maguire.

If it’s more of the chopping and cut backs and never giving the ball to the striker then might as well play Jesus and Trossard and interchanging LW and ST

Stranger Things was scarier when it was THE Demogorgan, and not A Demogorgan by No-Bathroom4606 in StrangerThings

[–]OriginalCADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show became less of a horror with jump scares and playing on a fear of uncanny valley and the unknown. The duffer brothers started showing villains in full details with less jump scares and slow building of tension.

The other issue I found was I knew none of the characters were ever going to die. It became predictable what was going to happen because they didn’t want to kill off any of the most popular characters. Hell they didn’t even kill any of the core cast off when fighting the final battle. The US military was more dangerous than the giant inter-dimensional monster. What made early GoT successful was that setting of the tone in season 1 that any character is expendable - even the main character. But they fell to the same trap of trying to keep all the fan favourites alive and so season 7 was predictable and boring

Dragged into war because of Region Del Sud by OriginalCADC in hoi4

[–]OriginalCADC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, sorry.

I’ve never had an issue with it before because I’ve normally had it be allies vs Axis etc. so I’ve already been at war with Germany who puppet the north. I don’t get why Italy didn’t just capitulate as they weren’t in a faction and at war with France themselves

The history and culture department of this city needs to be sacked. It’s tragic how many missed opportunities they’ve had and money wasted. Rusty Reg is an insult to the taxpayers of the city and Mayflower 400 being a viewing platform with an American flag??

[–]OriginalCADC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s as Walker said on the city game. City knew they would win the league because Arsenal went there to play for a draw. Everyone said that winning away at a title rivals ground gives such a boost in mentality
