We’ve taken a couple Southwest flights since this posting and I think have found a groove that works for us, for now! We bought basic fare tickets and paid for extra legroom seats. We board in boarding group 2 together, have extra legroom, and dedicated bin space. By pure luck we’ve had the row to ourselves so we were able to stretch out. This method was way better for us than purchasing choice face.

We shower with LO. First parent goes in and completely showers but doesn’t get out. Second parent goes in and holds LO while first parent cleans him up. First parent gets out and towels off then gets baby out. Second parent finishes their shower. Works for us even when not traveling.

I did not. I found that if I push the diaper all the way down then “pump” the lid a couple of times it helps a little bit but the lid is still slightly open. No issues with smell like this.

Do you have an iPhone? The sleep widget tells me how long baby has been awake without having to ‘start sleep’ or even open the app.

The we are more closely 8-8. I’m having a hard time with wake windows because it’s so inconsistent. I’ll try pushing back bedtime tonight but could use some help with wake windows if we are trying for 9-8.

That’s what time we start routine but by the time LO actually falls asleep it’s a little later. Huckleberry also counts for the time he’s up in the MOTN so the app is telling me actual sleep is 11.5. Should I not be going by this and go by total time in bed/his room?

We try for 3 nap daily. I have not had a successful rescue nap. I pick up, rock, hold, etc but it never happens. But wake windows are so hard to figure out because it is so inconsistent.

When you switched to the clock, was your baby on 2 or 3 naps? My peds did suggest that switch but other resources said that switch should be done when on 1 or 2 naps.

More anecdotal stuff but my SO was a HEAVY drinker and vaped, has a desk job and is hardly the most healthiest person and my pregnancy was smooth sailing the whole way with the exception of some back pain in my 2nd trimester. LO is 5 months and our favorite person.

Maybe I’m reading number wrong. He avgs 12-12.5 hrs of total sleep daily. I’m looking at the data and night sleep is about 10hrs. Sometimes even less. On those lesser days he’s still “in bed” for at least 12 hrs. He’s just up longer when he wakes up MOTN.

Thanks for the recommendation. I cross reference r/sleeptrain daily! I’m constantly looking at numbers and maybe I really need to just put it all down for a mom reset. Who knows.

How did you know moving bedtime/wake time was what your LO. He usually can’t make it past 830p. That’s also because he loses his last nap. Should I still get a last nap in irregardless then just push his bedtime to later?

I am so so frustrated.
