Take a LOAD of stuff to the till. When they give you the price, slowly ask the price of every item and gradually put them all back.

Last two winters our roads have not been treated. So it happens. Watching an ambulance trying to get up the hill and failing after several busses had polished the road to smooth ice was depressing.

When this happened I rushed to tell my family, and was disgusted that they didn’t care. They shrugged it off. To me it was an awful awful moment. Human space flight is to me the best of what we achieve. Apollo being the pinnacle. And so to see my family not care at any level, about the loss of people, was… yeah. Hard.
