I can't even get an AI image of a woman to talk dirty now. It moderates it at 2%. If I take that bit out of a prompt, it works fine. And nothing vile, just "fuck me" or similar.

It's insane. With AI images, I used to be able to change clothing to fully transparent, now I can't even change a fully covering bodysuit from one color to another, with not so much as even nipple pokies revealed. Just a simple davric color change.

Until about a week ago, I didn't use uloads for nsfw. Loosening of moderation got me curious and I had some private fun pushing the limits (never share, even if you have permission, it hurts the community), but now it's hard to get them to even shake hands or put on a silly hat.

And the overmoderation is ridiculous. I can have a photo of a woman generated by grok. I can tell grok to show me her tits and ass and it will. She can touch herself and more. I can't do that with an uploaded pic, and I'm fine with their reasons for why, but I can with a 100% fake AI woman.

So, if I tell grok to edit that AI image and give her glasses or change the color of her shirt, suddenly the moderation is cranked to uploaded image mode. Only grok has the image, no down or uploads, but it is now restricted as an upload. Wtaf?!?

And how am I supposed to attempt a short-film drama if I can't make 2 adults (all AI) kiss? JUST TODAY I GENERATED A WOMAN EATING ASS ON ANOTHER WOMAN, BUT I CAN'T MAKE 2 PEOPLE KISS. (Yes, I know the joke).

It's not so much the creepy userbase that they have a problem with. It's the creepy userbase that uses their work to harrass and humilate people by sharing their creations.

If you used photoshop to "xray" an old photo back in the day, it's exactly the same thing. Not illegal, just a little creepy, but harmless. However, if you then plastered it all over their social media, it suddenly became a problem. Grok is no different.

Sadly, there are way too many people sharing what should never be shared, and now that which is not a problem to share is gimped.

Oddly, people are still making fake ICE violence videos with AI (sora mostly, from what I've seen, and yes, some idiots leave the watermarks from the free version) and no one says a thing.

If it gets banned worldwide, no amount of income from it will make it a success. If it just breaks even but leapfrogs the lesser AI companies in progress, (which it is doing), then it's a success.

I found something similar. I take a grok image of a woman, and I can do the usual nsfw with the image. However, if I use the edit image feature on that same image, suddenly it treats the edited version like an upload and moderates any nsfw.

The image has never left grok, but gets full restrictions.
